What did you do to your car today?

Spoke to the shop not long ago and they stated the Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid installed just last week had already failed - replacement on order. 'Competent Techs'? It's often a crap shoot.:(

There are still some out there like me who don’t give a hoot about saving every last penny for the boss and insist the job is done right and done thorough. I try to make the company as much as possible as it ultimately effects my pockets, but I absolutely refuse to short cut anything..

Enjoyed My Automobile Yesterday!

Not planning on going anywhere today.

Put a few miles on the Marauder yesterday; first serious drive since it came out of the shop wednesday. First, check and adjust tire pressures. Take grandchildren to breakfast then drop'em off at school. Get car hand washed and vacuumed at local detail shop.

Drive to hardware store a couple of towns away to pick up an 'internet order'. Stop and refuel at the only fuel stop in the Columbia metro that retails 93 E0 fuel (4.389). All grades are E0 here like the solitary 93 E0 station over in Augusta. Drive back to the grocery store in Batesburg, SC then back home to my daughter's house at Johnson's Crossroads, SC.

I can truly state the Marauder is now operating at its Best ever, since I took possession in late March from the previous owner. Between Mo's Speed Shop upgrading various components and a number of sub issues that came up and have apparently been corrected I'm now throughly enjoying the Marauder. The term 'Automotive Harmony' kept coming to mind as I drove yesterday.:)

Have you ever considered Cilajet Aviation Grade Wax? A cut above the Cilajet Automotive Grade Wax and a bit more expensive too. This was applied to my 2005 Mustang ONCE in 2005 and is still holding up. Hoping to get my detailer to apply this to my Marauder and Ranger also.

Previous owner of Mustang stated the Cilajet wiped on and off just like conventional liquid wax. Local Cilajet dealer wants $700 to $1400 to apply it - won't happen.

This sounds great. I might just go this route for both my Marauder and my wagon after they get repainted. Especially the wagon, since it sits outside, uses too much space in the garage.

Basically finished combining the Coyote PCM with the Marauder engine harness

Got the stock transmission crossmember to work perfectly with 6R80

And installed the bracket I made to utilize the Mustang Accelerator Pedal. (My mini saw broke mid way through and and I had to improvise) but it worked in the end.

Now I wait for my driveshaft.

Where is this item located on the Marauder if you don't mind me asking, maybe that's what's wrong with mine.

Broke the cars cherry at the drag strip tonight. My first time on a track in 10+ years.

Need to improve my launch and 60' though. Street tires and a race weight of 4600lbs wasn't helping anything.

2nd prep on parts requiring Por-15 treatment. Hand fabricate 3.5" washers from 1/8" steel stock to reinforce frame body mount saddles. 2 of the fabbed washers sitting on saddle waiting for Por-15

3 1/2” holesaw is your friend.

Picked my car up and drove it home. Fully forged built motor done and installed. Damn it feels good to be in a MM again. Need to check an exhaust leak and data log existing tune. Many a small mods to do to it. Can't wait to get working on it again.

Trip Back Home

Arrived home yesterday for the first time since September 1st - everything was good. Landscaper had cleaned up the yard a few days previous.

Refueled at solitary Columbia, SC 93 E0 emporium, stopped by 'closed on sundays' 93 E0 station in Blythewood, SC for images and included an image of the solitary 93 E0 retailer here in Charlotte - minus the solitary marine retailer on Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC.

Periodic check yesterday on family plot at Sharon Road Cemetery included. First time driving the Marauder there - 'residents' were pleased! Groundskeepers getting slack unfortunately, maybe because of the storm.

Image included of engine bay depicting new IAC valve and new fuel vapor vent valve mounted on firewall over the starboard valve cover (bright bolts). Marauder is running its best ever, since I gained possession in March. Experiencing 'automotive harmony' for the first time in many years!:coolman:
