Kenny called me while I was out. Just got home and was able to read the article and let it sink in....

I have no words. Shaking as I type.

I share the hobby with Jamie same as David and Alex. I cannot even begin to imagine.....

Our deepest condolences and sympathes are with you and of course, if there's anything at all we can do...

I said this elsewhere, but I felt it should be repeated here .........

I can't believe I am reading this.

As it's been said by others ..... Alex was always a great guy whenever I was in his company.

My thoughts and prayers to Dave and his family.

RIP Alex.

I have a heavy heart as I type this. I met Alex a few times and it was obvious that he was a great kid. Very respectful and hard working. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

I never met Alex or had any interaction, but I can tell by the outpouring here that it was my loss. He sure sound like a great person, may the family's grieving be brief and the peace be eternal.

My deepest condolences to his family. I never got to meet him in person but had talked with him on here back and forth a long time ago, his loss is unmeasurable.

In Shock at this Terrible Loss

I met Alex several times over the years and found him to be a polite, decent young man. This is a horrific loss and my heart goes out to his family and friends. The world, and especially this community, is a lesser place today.

So sad to see this. I have never met him but it seams as though he was a very likable person. Condolences to his family and friends.

Truly a tragedy in every way, no matter what the circumstances. I found the comments posted by certain sanctamonious asshats angered me greatly. I advise anyone who reads the article not to read them.

That young guy, Dustin Roberts, is a real hero in this incident. He was first on the site and did everything right. Despite the obvious damage, he checked for the pulse of the first victim he saw and yelled for someone to call 911. He knew that there were 2 guys in the car and immediately began to search for the other and found him submerged in the pond. He pulled that person from the pond and stayed with the victim to comfort him while a woman stabilized that person's neck. Again he told others to call 911 for assistance. I am truly amazed at the cool manner in which he dealt with this terrible scene. He is a true hero in my eyes. My hat is off to you Dustin Roberts.

Yeah, there is something know as "crowd paralysis" where sometimes people just assume help is on the way and do nothing at all. I hope at least the passenger is able to recover.
