When I showed the tech Carfixers specs he said to me "Oh, you want the Crown Vic setup we use for all the police cars. It makes the tires last longer."

Hey guys, it was I stopping by the credit union for the loan on a new GM.
Now the MM can be the garage queen she was meant to be. (New job with 50+ mile round trip commute was cranking on the miles on the MM. :eek: Needed a vehicle to log bookoo miles on. GM fits the bill perfectly.)

Agree with others that you need to replace the valve covers gaskets first
Then go with the Accel coils and new plugs. For plugs I used the NGK TR55IX. Noticable difference in smoothness & a bit more seat of the pants go.
All these things are very easy for a do-it-yourselfer. Be carefull...

Very different cars and for a $40K difference the M5 SHOULD beat the 300.
Most auto rags rate the M5 right about 13 sec flat in the 1/4 mile. 300 Srt8 about 13.5 sec. Race was decided at the starting line.

Used to have the ticking sound and blue smoke on start up. The heads were replaced under warranty at 24K. Now at 50K miles and continues to run nice and quiet.
