Fluid film seems to be the best option.
Aluminum will oxidize, particularly when exposed to magnesium chloride. And there's still a steel frame under there.
The best I've used were cornwell tools. The frame was tubing and angle and didn't flex no matter what we put on it.
May be something similar from different brands.
I also had a hard time finding one last year. Needs to be from '03 marauder or CVPI. I didn't know about limo or town car but an easy indicator is the 1 piece aluminum drive shaft. The steel 2 piece shaft works with the shorter housing.
Another option is a 4r70w with the shorter housing and a...
Yes, Mr. Man, there's almost always one or two out front there. Figured we'd support the panther community first. It's an extra vehicle for now so time isn't really an issue.
I thought about welding and machining it, but don't really want to. Needs control arms too so it's not much more to just...
Soooooooo, we were going to put the new bearings and seals in the rear axle today. Got the old bearings out and the right side of the axle housing is damaged from previous bearing failure. Someone slammed it together and sent it down the road.
Looking for a housing or complete assembly...
What Bob said.
How long was the car sitting? Steering shaft may be sticky in the universal joints. That was the problem with my brothers CVPI. new intermediate shaft and the steering is back to normal.
Hello everyone. My brother has joined the panther family with a 2004 CVPI. He's interested in doing a few of the basic upgrades and figured we'd check here first. Have a few items to start. If you have something that's probably a good idea, pm me. Thank you.

I maintain my decision to not own anything newer than 2007.
For a fraction of 70k any of my vehicles could be tastefully updated. Particularly my '71 GMC Custom Camper pickup or '71 GMC Suburban. Heck, could probably do both for 70k.
No more snow here but did have some temperature swings. Absolutely poured rain the other night. Really glad it wasn't snow.
Nature's other evil is already out and about. BUGS! Evil little basterds. Forgot what it's like when I'm welding something and a creature flies in my effing ear.
MyBlackBeasts is the winner. Handy little puller for top post terminals that absolutely do not want to come off. Can be used on some styles of wiper arms too.
Corks can go back in?
Thanks MBB, but I nothing comes up on the website for excursion. I might be doing something wrong.
Agent2006, I believe cab corners from a crew cab f2/350 will be close for part of it.
In dream land I find a nice clean 7.3 one and move on with my life.
I feel your pain.
This is the main reason I got my excursion cheap. Came with the new rockers in a box. Now, if I could figure out where to get the corner piece I might actually do them.
03merc, that is a good looking car.
If I ever hit the lottery you guys will know because I'll have another 3 marauders. One of each color would be nice.
