2004 Marauder Full Part Out (Location: PA)

I was actually thinking the same thing since I also have a moonroof car.

*SOLD LIST* Tail lights EATC Rear bumper Mirrors Trunk Panel Engine PCM Wheels Exhaust Chassis & Suspension ------------------------------------------- I just picked up a 166k mile 2004 Marauder with moonroof and heated seats out of MA, wrecked in the drivers front. Listed as a runner/driver...

Marauder on Hoovie and Aprils garage

It might be his old car, the current owner of his old marauder has had it at the wizard's shop for work before. I can't imagine many Marauders are running around the Wichita area

Suspension light on dashboard, car sitting low in rear ??? Help ??

if you bought pre-assembled quick struts for a crown vic or grand marq, the front end height is going to go up.

    Wrong Front bushing? correct P/N?

I mean, you're comparing an aftermarket Moog to an old OE, I am not surprised it isn't a carbon copy. PNs look correct as per rockauto

    Front Strut

You're not going to find anything pre-assembled that is marauder spec, it'll all be for CV/GM's and list as cross compatible which means the ride height wont be right

    Need new shocks

You're due for shocks for sure, and maybe more. I rebuilt the entire front suspension on my 03 Marauder at 150k miles and the BJ's were worn and the bushings were all shot. I did do rear airbags on that car, not because they leaked but because the rubber was so dry rotted they were crumbling...

    Need new shocks

Don't go with quick struts, I would have to imagine those are incredibly genericized to work across all range of crown vic and grand marq which means you'll most likely end up nose high and softer sprung. Shock options aren't great for these cars, your best replacement is going to be what most...

What tires are you guys running?

Nitto never released the NT555 G2 in that 265/50R18 size. Nobody else made that oddball size to date (Tirerack shows zero results). I ended up going with widened wheels and 295/45R18's.

    Where is my old Marauder

Well, I think I found out why your carfax trail went cold https://www.local10.com/news/local/2023/02/01/rape-charge-added-for-suspect-in-northwest-miami-dade-alleyway-slaying/ I'd wager the car is parked somewhere, maybe at a relatives house, hasn't moved in a few years is my guess.

    Where is my old Marauder

He changed his username, now goes by Cobra432000 , last seen 8/03/2020. Looks like he had Marty O work on the car and 88grandmarq (Eric) built a trans for it.

John Friel, "TooManyFords", has passed away

I must say this comes as a complete shock and I'm very sorry for your loss. I remember first meeting John at Carlisle 2018, but we hung out a lot more at Drag week 19. He also drove from Iowa to my place in PA twice, once to buy a set of Marauder bumpers for Prorauder, and a few weeks later he...

8 rib alternator pulley problems, 03 MM

Well the Marauder may have been the only 32v to have it, but P71's had this as well actually, and he's correct. You can find videos of civilian crown vics doing WOT pulls and having a little "chirp" noise happen on the 1-2 which isn't the tires. https://youtu.be/gAtTH3kRkR8?t=17 It was talked...

    JMOD Kit Question

BCA seems to still something, I can't vouch for it (IE: if you order, will it show up). https://www.bcawebstore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=24 This was always a historically "DIY" mod back in the day, drilling the separator plate and removing the shift accumulator springs. If you were...

    Rear Differential Fluid

2.5 quarts, although 2 quarts is usually enough if you're not pulling the axles and getting ALL of the fluid out don't know, ask Ford

    Mark vii engine

You'd have to strip it down to a short block and transfer over your heads, timing cover, intake, oil pan + pickup tube. Unless you're getting a super good deal on this, it'd be easier to find a 03-05 aviator motor and just swap the intake, timing cover, oil pan + pickup tube and valve covers.

    Oil Accumulator

I promise you even sitting for a year if you pulled the motor apart you'd find a layer of oil on the bearings. If you want to go above and beyond you can get some fogging oil to spray down each of the spark plug holes before you start it. I've started engines from vehicles that sat abandoned...

    Oil Accumulator

Push the gas pedal to the floor and crank it over for a bit, this'll cut the fuel injectors and not start the car. Price = free

    31-spline swap-in parts?

Is it really worth it economically to try and rebuild the stock diff with 31 spline spider gears? What mustangeddie says is right, for whatever reason the Marauder had its own unique set of spider gears that weren't used in any other Ford. Either buy a full fresh 31 spline Cobra/GT500 trak-lok...
