Well the service shock did get bumped to a 7W3Z service part number because of a design change (shock closure method). But the shock valving is supposed to be the original MM tune from 2002.
The ID color on the tip of the shock rod should be pink for Marauder, and the sticker label too...
Right but I think the OP is in the middle east.
Did you try to elevate this to FCSD? It should definitely not be a floaty ride with Marauder shocks. If nothing else, I'd like to dyno the shocks myself--I have access to that equipment here at work.
Police vs. Marauder suspension is the same, but shock and spring tuning is different, mostly due to the difference in the weight of the standard wheel for each model. The Police shock has about 30% more rebound damping force, but 25% less compression damping force.
Reduced compression...
I tried this search too, but got nothin'. However I did find these large black cars with black chrome wheels and decided I only like black wheels on light-colored cars.
Sorry to the OP but no, this truck is just too ugly for me! Also I'm having a hard time digesting the $49.99 trailer rims on any "meticulously restored" vehicle.
From my anecdotal knowledge it would seem that most catastrophic mod motor failures are not caused by connecting rods. More like inadequate cooling, spark knock, or oil starvation.
Excerpt from a 1991 article in ASME's Mechanical Engineering magazine:
Really an interesting read! Apparently...
Thanks guys!
I will be without the MM--not enough seats--but it would be fun to get some 1/4mi times at sub-freezing temps :D Thanks for the tip about MS&I, we could get a membership and use the "passport" feature to get discounts on museums back here in the D. Bondage and bars are not going...
I can still remember the buzz I felt all the way up my forearm when I attempted to unplug my gas dryer's igniter... I forgot that I had re-plugged it in for a continuity check. Wife was all lovey-dovey after that, because 1) the dryer was fixed for $40 instead of $250+, 2) her big strong man...
Looking for a place for six people to stay; arriving either 12/30 or 12/31, and departing 1/2. Have plans to visit Edgewater and Brookfield (not on the same day). We kind of want to stay downtown for the sights/ambiance.
So... any suggestions? Tentatively looking at the Holiday Inn Express...
Production date should be on your door sticker.... but as mentioned, it should not make a difference. I have first-hand knowledge that there are only two OE service shocks for the '03-04 Marauder:
Front 7W3Z-18124-H (ASH1153) and Rear 7W3Z-18125-H (ASH1152)
I bought $99 aluminum 17's from discounttiredirect for winter use. Need some better rubber than the Dunlops I have on there though...

Yeah not sure what happened. There is no other damage around the bumper cover there, including the sandblast effect on the lens. So... who knows???
The set screw you see actually is a thumb screw on the back. At least I assume the thumb screw is for beam alignment. I have not had a chance...
