thanks for all of the info. it seems like my best (only?) option is to leave it be and hope for the best. i never liked other people driving it anyway. i was the annoying guy that would pull up to a valet stand and tell them i needed to park it myself. i guess i'm a bit possessive like that...
pardon my ignorance, but does driving it to burn off the moisture require time, speed or both?
also, what is a battery maintainer? is it something my mechanic can install?
thank you!
unfortunately the spare keys are in a plastic bin in a storage unit. :(
i am considering paying a friend to go meet AAA, get it unlocked and have the battery replaced. they can drive it to an autozone and buy some sore of magnetic lockbox to leave the keys inside a wheel well or wherever makes...
this is what happened last time. i don't think the locksmith asked for any verification because they opened the door for my friend without verification. he was also able to show them immediately where the keys are since he knows where they're hidden.
i may well leave it be. i don't think i can...
i do know the code...unless a dead battery resets it.
i am still 10,000 miles away so i'm not sure if i can get her jumped and to a mechanic to have the alternator checked.
what are the dangers of letting her sit undriven potentially for many more months?
thank you!
hi. i have an interesting dilemma. my marauder is sitting in a los angeles car park. it's been there over a year now while i'm "stuck" in south africa. every few months a friend would go and drive it. but last time they went they said the battery was dead and they could not use the keyless entry...
i wish LA worked like that!
i'm gonna try and sell it (for the right price). i had a black crown vic before this that i never worried about. crown vics are everywhere. i think i've only seen two marauders in the past six months. and, i have to say: i don't know if it's the HID headlights, but...
i definitely drive her. it's my only ride and i absolutely love it. the other related problem is i live in a pre-war apartment with a driveway so narrow it tests my skills daily. backing down it at five in the morning (for occasional work) is particularly harrowing. the windows aren't tinted but...
FS: 2003 black with 16,500 miles and 0 mods
i believe i am the second owner of this marauder. i bought it last summer from a dealer in michigan. the ad, without pictures, on autotrader said 11,500 miles and i called to ask if it was a mis-print. that was first thing on a friday morning and by...
hi. i am looking for a good home for my black unmolested low-mileage marauder. i am taking her out for a bath and photos this afternoon. i will post in the sale thread before listing locally and on ebay or autotrader. i love my marauder but she deserves a better home (with a garage...she was...
