Got to talk to the zone rep late today. He's saying inclined to not help but a final decision on Tuesday when he has a chance to get some more info from another dealer I had service at.
It was a very friendly conversation but I don't have high hopes. I hate waiting until Tuesday because it...
I hope to have a conversation with the Zone Rep who denied any help tomorrow. Let's see what he has to say. But, sad to say, I have a feeling that I'll be calling trans vendors in the near future.
Coming home a couple nights ago I turn a corner and get a thunk and then revving engine. Turns out I lost 3rd and 4th gear at that point. I'm 1 1/2 months out of warranty (just turned 30K miles). :mad2: Long story short my local dealer has had the car for 3 days now and told me today that Ford...
I've got mine located in the slot behind the steering wheel. It's in there pretty good and hasn't been dislodged by any spirited driving yet.
I love where you put yours though. Now all they need is the software upgrade to unlock several of the more interesting things on the bus that they...
When I had my Firehawk there was quite a bit of debate about Yank and PI converters for the GM vehicles. After doing a search I haven't seen much discussion here about Yank converters or the Yank/Gear Star transmissions for Ford.
Does anybody have any feedback/comparison/experience with these...
Not Logan but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I completely agree. Only thing I would change in your statement is to be tolerant of non-american big iron too (Think M5, RS6, etc...). Nice cars are nice cars and we should enjoy and encourage all automakers willing to build them.
Look. He called your statement about stock for stock handling BS. You come back with a bunch of other things unrelated to handling and call his post "crap". Do you see the disconnect?
It's not even a contest in handling "stock for stock". If you want to argue about value don't forget about...
+1
Obviously this is a subjective opinion but I don't think they are at all close in their stock configurations. I've driven them both and I own another 3500+ lb "sport sedan" that I've heavily modified which is what I base my opinion on.
It was great to meet you all and I thought we had an excellent turnout. I did not realize you had been doing this for 4 years. I'll have to check with the wife to see if Seymour is a possibility but in any case I look forward to the next get together.
So bringing this post back from the dead one year later. I went back to the factory tune for a couple weeks and in going back I really like the engagment of the OD a bit earlier than it is now. I gain about 1.5-2 MPG as well, which was really surprising.
In any case: What do I do to get the...
So what prevents me from not telling him what the kit is for and using it however I want? Do they need a VIN to order the kit?!?
I imagined my call going like this:
Me: Gimme 1 of those and 1 of those and 1 of those.
Them: OK. What's the CC #
Me: Why here you go.
Them: Thanks.
What am I missing?
And there would be your problem. The markup on the Z06 is just as large in many cases and they have been high for a long time with no obvious sign of going away.
How about a picture for everybody?
Follow the link for a nice picture and explaination. Perhaps with a common point of reference it will be easier to discuss further.
