    Yeah I ran into the same issue about four years ago, Ford says the carrier is not serviceable. I had bought the spiders gears off a mustang first, but the S clip was to small. I had no option but to hit up the local junk yard. Was lucky enough to find a 2002 mustang gt which have the 28 spline...

    oil usage first few hundred miles

    Mine uses about half a quart or a quart every 4,000 miles. New PVC valve, and JLT oil separator, but it does have an oil seap
