Exactly! Definitely get the oem glass. That safelite nonsense is half as thick and is literally designed to crack when a rock hits your windshield. I don't know how they get away with making replacement windshields. Its far from safe.

^ha if it didn't rain damn near every other day here or at least a couple of times a week, I would definitely consider that. Didn't the older crown vics and marquis have wipers that lowered into the cowl when they weren't in use? I am assuming that was a separate motor too?

They are the same bends if they are off a newer Marquis or Crown Victoria. :beer:

Wonder if I have to swap the motor or linkage to make the newer style arms work?

Just wondering if anyone here swapped out their wiper arms for the better looking hook style? I had a 2007 crown vic that had the newer style. Not that I swap wipers that often but the hook style looks way better and the wiper itself will look better lower on the windshield. Here are some pics...

The explorers are much better as police units. A 12 hour shift in an explorer that can actually fit a cage in it would be much easier on the body.
