    Electrical problem or mechanical? HELP!!!

17v is way too high. Get your alternator issue sorted out first and go from there.

    time for some new tools

Big +1 on anything ingersoll-rand. They make solid tools for a good price. snap-on and Mac are just rebadged IR anyways. I don't have anything electric from them however, all my tools are pneumatic.

    Winter part II

You're right. That is so ridiculous!! Last I checked infants and children couldn't legally own/drive a car so chances of them being on a marauder enthusiasts site is slim so why the hell are we censoring l.a.i.d??? Saying,"I got l.a.i.d last night," is already PG considering the alternatives...

    Nitrogen filled tires

A negative would be that your paying 35 for a tech to put green valve caps on and filling your tires with plain old air. Because 9 times out of 10 that's happening....

    Lincoln LSC

I have always liked these from the front. I don't care much for the wheel hump in the deck lid. I prefer the thunder bird turbo coupe style over the Lincoln. A blown 5.0 with a 5sp manny would be tits!

OEM Ford rotors - quality part, or foreign junk?

I don't no about for you guys in the states but here in Canada if you buy motorcraft pads they are replaced for free every time they wear out for as long as you own the vehicle. That's the route I go for brake pads every time.

    Rear end may be dry

You'd be surprised how far off of 0 degrees solid axle cars come right from factory. I'm not asking you to bow but I have seen enough to no that it definitely happens.

    Rear end may be dry

Oh really? So I must have been imagining the several hundred feathered tires I've come across on a rear wheel drive vehicle at the ford dealership I work at. Thanks for the correction.

    Rear end may be dry

Easiest thing for you to do is run your hand along the inside edge of your rear tires. If they feel "feathered" then thats the cause of your noise. Tire noise and bearing noise are very similar. If two separate mechanics suspect tires over rear diff then I'd say that's probably it.
