Exactly. Had to replace battery cable too. Dam positive post rotted away. Next biggest battle is the load leveler. Hoping it's just the pump but further investigation will figure that out.

Car sat for over 6 years outside with this much gas in it. Maybe that'll explain it but i'm not 100% sure. It's just what I found when I took tank down.

The car had some Low Pressure aftermarket Strong Arm pistons with it, and they won't even hold the hood up. LOL but true. As for doing the body work off the car,... I wanted to make sure the side are nice and flush with the fenders so it looks factory. Also same reason for the front edge...

Tank came from A-1 Automotive.

So I'm working on this fiberglass hood the came with the car and the fit and finish was awful So busting my hump to make it look presentable. Sides didn't line up very well, neither did front edge. The top of cowl needs work too. Lots of fun today. Hoping to put primer on it today or tomorrow.

So I couldn't get this car started so I decided to drop the tank. Well the tank was a little over half full and the ethanol gas really did a number to it. New tank and sending unit arrived. Tank was already painted silver too.
