Moved my house to work today. Haven't tried anything heavy yet but so far the F1Shifty seems to handle towing okay. Gotta love the built in brake controller, should be standard on all pickups.

Has anyone tried installing a check valve before the vacuum manifold? There's been mention of the lines blowing off at higher boost levels, mine is nowhere near that territory yet.....
I'm assuming it's not fun to get the lines off if needed once they're glued on.
Thanks, couldn't swing for brand new. It's just nice enough for me.
Took the picture in front of the shop in Flanders. Went back after picking up the truck to help the guys close up.
Unfortunately my marauder was the previous owners daily and currently looks best from a distance. Needs paint...
Not me. Got beat at the last second. Guess I'll have to increase my budget.
If the winner doesn't come through pm me, I still need at least 2 wheels and widened would be ideal.
Look around online and go from there keeping in mind that asking prices aren't always selling prices.
I may be interested in the set pending price and shipping. My wheels are rough and I plan on getting widened rear wheels.
Definitely check plugs/ coils or just replace them all. It's not uncommon for a slight misfire to feel like transmission slippage.
Try a cold start with minimal warmup time and start out with the shifter in 2nd gear. If there is a misfire it will be much more noticeable at a lower rpm with...
I re routed the starter power and signal wires on both my car and my brothers CVPI (5 speed swapped). It's fairly simple the way I did it, hardest part is removal from the bracket on the cylinder head. Both ours were done with transmission out but it is possible with trans in.
Disconnect...
I definitely don't trust dorman for electrical products and I don't know if I'd trust an axle shaft from them. Might be interesting for a comparison/ torture test. Run one dorman and one OE or other replacement and launch the car x amount of times.
Was it a name brand shift kit or "J mod"? Some shift kits for the 4r70w try to mechanically do things that are pcm controlled.
I would not install a separate switch for lockup, likely to cause more problems than it solves. A tune from a reputable tuner will "fix" the shift points and make them...
May be worth doing the hoses too. I had one blow out over the summer, planning on doing the remainder when I have time. They're not getting any younger and hoses are way cheaper than an engine or cylinder head.
According to the interwebs Dorman 645-1001 is a replacement pigtail. Has the clip I pictured after your description. Would be nice to find the clips by themselves, they're used in several other applications.
Definitely have the LCM "fix" checked.
Is it possible that the lights are in the "auto" position? A long long time ago I worked on something (I think a Corvette) which had a bad photo cell and the lights would come on with the key day or night. Might be that simple.
Rotate the lever counterclockwise or toward the bell housing to the first position( or last it clicks into). Moving clockwise from there it will follow the shift pattern R N D 2 1. Neutral will be with the lever at the 11:00 position. Make sure the transmission range sensor is in the...
I had a similar problem when doing my brothers exhaust ('04 CVPI). Even when really really tight the band clamps can still rotate. I used a universal type hanger with a regular exhaust clamp suspended from the crossmember just in front of the watts link. Just cleaned off 2 spots and welded 2...
They can but it's a PITA. It's easy to take everything apart but can be difficult to get the retaining clips on when putting the new shoes on.
When you get everything apart check that the cables and actuators move freely. The actuators tend to get sticky and cause the shoes to hang up or drag...
Mine blew out a few months ago. I was able to find a hose that had a section that would work at my local Napa.
Napa #8349. Make sure you take the spring out of the old hose and put it in the new one.
