LED taillights - any interest?

Everything Marauder, LEDs & HI
Looking at offering a kit to add 2 LED bulbs to each tail light.

The kit would include:
  1. Detailed instructions
  2. 4 - 30+ SMD LED bulbs
  3. 4 - sockets
  4. Wiring and connectors

The only "special" tool you'll need is a hole saw.

By adding additional sockets for the LEDs you don't need to use resistors.

Price - $100.00 (shipping included)

If you want to use LED bulbs in all of the tail light sockets I can supply the bulbs, flasher and instruction to fix the rapid flashing. Of course the cost will be more.

Even if you do not get a lot of interest from multiple people, I am 100% in for a kit. So please offer this

100% for sure count me in! I just ordered rear tailamp tint film http://www.blinglights.org/products...s-Lights-Smoked-Protection-Overlays-Tint.html so I need something brighter.

I am very interested in how those turn out Todd. Is it possible to include a brighter set of bulbs for the reverse lights with this kit? and maybe a third tail light.

I Always thought why have reverse lights if they don't actually give you any real light output. I guess to let others you are backing up before you run them over?

How about a true LED rear lights and third brake light? The bulbs are cool but true LED lights are 1000xs better.

Should get the kit for the tint early next week Ill let ya know how it works out!

I am interested but also usually broke. I've been thinking for awhile that I'd like an updated look for the lights.

What do you think?
I'm interested Jim.
How about reverse lights?
That's the number 1 complaint from the wife, as I live in the woods a bit...

I'll have to pull out the reverse lights and see how big of a bulb will fit in there.

I do have some LEDs that you can not look at...... too bright!

Last night I saw a CV with a LED taillights. He had 2 stripes going across to make make it look like the S-55 treatment but he never painted the lens. Is this the method you are going to go with or just replacing the incandescent bulbs with LEDs?

the problem with most led bulbs is they don't reflect off back of tail light so all you have is a spot in you tail light were bulb is

Just doing the bulbs.....

Will look into taking apart the lenses to do LED strips. Or maybe lots of individual LEDs.
