I tried going to Mulahey Ford in Arroyo Grande website and they do not have a parts web site so who knows what the part actually sells for. My local Ford dealer sells parts for list plus 10% (Rip Off). Tasca Ford, RI and Tousley Ford, MN sell for cost plus 10%.

List is "suggested". What dealers do to make $$ by upping a percentage over list, that is their chance that they lose customers on the sale.
You are correct. It is a system (cost plus on parts and $110 per hour labor rate) that dealers use to survive when car sales alone would never keep a dealer in business. It is bad for people who are not car savy. Do not have internet access. Live in Podunk, USA with only one dealer within 100 miles.

The factory cooler runs through the radiator. Not a plug and play, but close.
You would run this cooler in series, after your stock cooler and before the fluid returns to the trans. So two coolers.
