Prayers for my Dad

Hoping for everyone's prayers as my Dad has been having bad nose bleeds. He turns 72 next year. Mom told me he passed out once and that he had to go to the emergency room twice last week and his nose is bleeding again this morning.

I hope he gets better.

Dustin, I turned 65 last year, and was plagued by nose bleeds on a regular basis; nearly everyday. Very disconcerting.
Like I would be having lunch in a restaurant and for no apparent reason, my right nostril would begin to flow. Of course, this usually led to dizziness.

So, I finally went to the doctor, and he advised me that things like this just happen as you age. It required two cauterizations over the course of a couple of months.

It still bleeds on occassion, but nothing like it did before.
I hope your father can get this condition corrected, and that it is not anything major.

cromer, that is comforting to know. From what my Mom described, the first time was a dusey and it didn't stop bleeding so they had to go back to the emergency room. From what I'm learning today, it started today because he sneezed and it set it off again. But apparently it wasn't as bad as the first day.

My Dad was great until 2 years ago, when he got cataracts from the strain of getting some teeth pulled. He had several surgeries but they never seemed to get his vision fixed. But at the same time they said they discovered he had diabettes so he has to watch what he eats.

So we worry about him. :-( We want him to be on Smukers with Willard Scott. :-)
