Hi to All This is my first post so don't beat me up to bad please.. I have a 2004 marauder. I purchased a tekskid forged mmr stroker long block. It came with a P.W.R. Platinum 8 bolt flexplate. When I mate the transmission to the engine. Flexplate spins freely. But if I install the starter the flexplate is on the starter gear. I unbolted the torque converter slid it back to transmission. No change I'm about to rip my hair out. Should I find another brand flexplate or could it be a different issue? I am also going to call P.W.R to see if plate could be defective. Any suggestions would be a great help. Thank's in advance

Is it a 164 tooth? Can't see any other reason.

Do you have the spacer plate installed between the block and transmission?

Looks something like this.

I have that exact flexplate in my car, and it fits perfectly, are you certain its installed with the correct side facing the motor?

Thank's racerx that post has me thinking. When I opened the flexplate it did not fit my converter. The holes were just a hair off. I called PRW tech said to enlarge the holes. (Does that seem Right?) PRW has not returned my call as of yet. What would a good replacement? If anybody has one to sell let me know. Even a stock 8 bolt at this point. Thank's to all for your help

I had a starter that was three months old engage and it would not disengage. It burned out within 20 seconds. Thing is, when I pulled it, the shaft with the gear was still in the fully extended position. It never retracted. That made me think this could also just happen to be a starter issue also.

The torque converter holes don't look like they match exactly but they did work on both of ours - no enlarging necessary.

We'll. I have been dealing with P.R.W. And my patience are beginning to get thin.
Can anybody recommend a different brand flexplate that will work? Or what vendor I can get one from??? thank's again to everyone for the help. Walt
