Fuses and relays good. Horn works when locking doors with fob. Gonna say its that *****y clock spring. Anyone else experienced the same?
Got the steering wheel off and was about to pull the clock spring, but then got called in by the gf for some mothers day sex...
Anyway. Going to pull the clockspring tomorrow and test continuity with my meter and determine if that is the issue...

I wouldn't waste my time as so many have been replaced over the years. And yes, I speak from experience. Quickest test, hold a radio button that doesn't work and slightly turn the wheel. Mine would work only moving the wheel a 1/4".

Whomever came up with the clock spring idea should be forced to have to fix them himself.

I've had this same failure going back as far as 1994 Ford products...and more than what you've listed got taken out until it was replaced.

Curious...how difficult is it to remove the drivers air bag on one of these.

I know the Negative Terminal would have to be disconnected just for starters.

Disconnected and wait 15 or 20 minutes.

Everyone else uses a pin and copper wheel contact method for a clockspring. The ribbon is a stupid design, I have plenty of other uses for the $100+ I have to spend on a clockspring. That poor pole dancer won't be able to feed her kids today. Thanks Ford clockspring designer! Stripper kids are starving because of you...

:dunno: I was a Ford / Lincoln / Mercury mechanic for 10 years, owned at least 2 or 3 Ford family vehicles since I got my drivers license, never had a clock spring failure.

I added "clock springs" to my collection of crappy small parts that fail. :)
Changed the clock spring and everything is back to normal... Now I can blow my horn and change the stations... yay...

I have to say it was surprisingly easy to change the clockspring on these cars...

I've had 5 CV's and the Marauder since the early 90's and this has never been a problem to my knowledge??

Wonder what causes them to break or malfunction??
