4.30's .. Pushed the black beast to the limit

With these gears, I wondered if the car would run out of rpm before real estate on the speedometer , so I decided to find out. I did not detect any serious driveline vibration on the run and she held together.. Smart? Not at all! But I had to know. I have seen breakdowns of rpm with different gears at different speeds, but thought seeing it live would would be informative for some. Or informative to the fact that I'm a dumbass!

You know when I played with my 94 LT1 Caprice I went 3:73's and wished I went 4:10's now with my Marauder I went 4:10's and wish I went 4:30's. One is never really happy,is he.

good idea Bryan, I just put it away for the winter , but if I take it out before spring consider it done.. Unfortunately, I love beating on this car it's hard not to be an ass in it sometimes! She drifts pretty Nice from a standstill or a slow roll

chief you have no idea.. I never mentioned in my introductory post because I considered possibly selling it that I got this car from my friend who bought it new for a grand!! after enjoying this car and the smile it puts on my face, it's not Going anywhere!!

My guess was 1 or 2 g's you paid. Glad the car was so easily made back into a beast! great score!

Mods are as follows.. but since you said nevermind, maybe you no longer want to know lol. Jlt Cold air Intake. Accufab single inlet throttle body.rear cat delete with magnaflow mufflers. Tune With x cal 2 . Precision industries 3500 stall converter. Gears with 31 spline axles and Ford racing aluminum diff cover.

I think that size gear is gross for those speeds. Riding in C6/C7s vettes really makes you appreciate the power to weight ratio they have, allowing the car to get 30mpg and without breaking a sweat with the 3.42 gears.
