Big Brakes on a not-so-big Budget? YEP

Just received my lines from Todd at TCE...thanks!! They look pretty slick. Now just have to grind that awful "CORVETTE" off the calipers, and I can get it all together :)
Thanks again to Todd, and also Jerry for their help and patience.

I just installed the Zack big brake setup so i thought i post a pick

Those look great! What rotors are those?

The rotors are from frozen rotor. They are power slot rotors that have been cyrogenically frozen.

i had this type of rotor on my car since 2007 and never had a warping problem

Dean, can you tell any difference from you old setup to the new one? Or do they just feel like new brakes?

Big difference They work great best brake setup i ever had. I took it out today and at first i noticed the pedal was hard and stiff. I performed the brake bedding procdure and noticed as soon as you start adding slight pressure on the pedal i was already slowing down, very effictive, and if you try a panic stop it feels like your going though the window the car stops so quick.

I just need the front new springs to settle now, i guess between here and vegas that will happen

Damn, I don't want to re-read this whole thread...didn't someone find some calipers with no "corvette" markings?

Yes, you can get them from any auto parts store.

Brought to you using an iPhone and I approve this message.

I ordered mine from advance auto and had no corvette name as you can see in the post of my wheel they look very nice.

just finished reading this whole thread. whew. what are you guys using for rear brakes? are mounting adaptors needed for the back too?

Just stock caliper & rotor size for the rear. Building something around the parking brake is pretty ridiculous.

Started reading thsi thread back when it started, before the brackets were even available, and then completely forgot about it. Guess I'm SOL on getting a set now, aren't I? Because my brakes suck ass and I would like to change that. I must say, though, that when I got better pads and rotors than OEM in the rear, driving in the snow all wheels would lock up and completely defy the ABS. Did a lot of winter sliding until I got a different car for a DD.
