What did you do to your car today?

I have been slowly removing old tint from her. Everyone suggests the garbage bag, soapy water, and hair dryer but I've just been using a blade and goo gone. In the meantime, I'm standing by to receive the EATC I sent out to fastblackmerc for refurbishment. Can't wait to reinstall that and have it light up at night. My journey with this car will be long and at times frustrating but by Christmas 2021 it will be a lean mean street fighting machine. And man does it sound good.

Reading this reminds me of all the issues of pipe blow offs I watched Dominick go thru and why I was having none of that! But this ain’t too bad considering it didn’t come apart on you and assuming this is first time you’ve had to adjust it. If not, weld it! [emoji16]

Beauty of the Blow thru MAF is normal driving stayed the same. Clamp was in a tight spot and I prob gave up too early before it was fully tight. Then i had an epiphany and realized that an air ratchet is the way to tighten hose clamps!

Sounds like NC needs a vote the dummies out wake up call. Don't go outside because of midigation, but make sure you go out and get Corona virus at the DMV. Dumbasses. :shake: Hope you are well Jim.

Our previous governor and previous Charlotte mayor Pat McCrory publicly admitted the election process in North Carolina is rigged in recent times and not worth fighting. I switched to an independent shop last year and now he's closed and not answering texts for voicemails - bummer. My fallback is the local Ford dealer - ok for normal maintenance, state inspections, car cleanup, parts, etc., but useless for intricate work on older cars like Marauder and Mustang.

Picked up a Vortech blower for a good price, getting parts gathered for an install.

Best way to remove tint...$20 handheld steamer from Walmart. Can remove tint from 2 doors in 20 minutes or less. In one piece with the adhesive too. No scraping, it's a little wet doing it so have towels near

New TR6 plugs

My car is going in for its annual service next week. Getting power pedals repaired and check to see what has caused the return of the rough idle. Plugs were changed for the very first time last year to NGK TR6V upon recommendation of a Marauder Specialist who worked on Marauder in the past. Some stated they were probably too cold for my NA car w/tune. Compression was down to 150psi in #4 cylinder, 175psi on all other cylinders. Motor sounds fine at the tailpipes but I miss the cold smooth start and having to look at the tach to make sure Marauder is still running. Fuel mileage is still good - similar to my Mustang. No CELs and haven't checked for codes - shop stated there were no codes last time. Waiting to see if any other issues come to the fore.

Two weeks ago, the Marauder needed rear control arm bushings on the front end suspension. I come to find out that since the diameter of each end of the bushings were different on the OEM lower control arms & they were no longer available, I had no choice but to replace both lower control arms & used Carfixer's alignment specifications afterwards. The original ball joints were still surprisingly good.

I noticed the same thing. Seems control arm replacement is the only option.
