Is there Interest in a Hotel Group Rate for Carlisle 2022?

Hey All! Carlisle 2022 is coming up in June. It's been a couple years since I've arranged a hotel group block at the Best Western Central Hotel in Harrisburg for those planning to attend the show. I checked out the current regular rates for that weekend and they run up around $200/nite per room. If there is enough interest, I'm willing to see if I can do better with a group rate for a block of rooms. Post up your interest (or lack thereof) so I'll know whether to proceed. Please be aware that the hotel is in Harrisburg so plan on a 20 minute or so drive to the show-field. Mr. Man and I (and several others) have enjoyed staying at The Central Hotel for many years now. Possibly, It's been a long couple of years. If we were one month out, I'd say no, but a lot can change in five months, by last June more things were starting to open up.

My son and I might go again. It's been too long with no real Marauder events to attend. Thanks for your work on this event in the past.

Hey John, I'll include you as interested in a room. If I get enough others in the next couple weeks I'll contact the Central Hotel to see what they can offer our group. I agree it's been way too long and we need a Marauder event. It would be great to see you, your son and some of the other Mid-west guys again at Carlisle. Fingers crossed!

Hey Mark, I think your bride deserves to attend a much bigger Marauder event than the one she enjoyed in SLO! Bring her to Carlisle...She would love it! (And it wouldn't be so bad to see you there once again, either.) Please give it your best shot and give Michele our love. Ms.D & Mr. Man
 
Happy New Year, everyone!! A quick update; as you can see, the interest in hotel rooms at The Central is not overwhelming at this point. I'm sure it's partly due to the fact that it's impossible to know what will be happening in June and also that many Marauder owners/enthusiasts are more active on the Meta site (which I can't access). I was hoping to get around 12-15 "interested" parties before contacting the sales office but I decided to call today to see what, if anything, they can offer for a small block of rooms. I left a detailed message and will let you know what I find out. Keep me posted if anybody else has an interest. Thanks!
 
Update: Good news! Mark your calendars and let's all go to Carlisle All Ford Nationals! The Best Western Central Hotel and Conference Center in Harrisburg will offer us a group block of rooms Thursday night 6/2 (8 rooms) - Friday night 6/3 (12 rooms)- and Saturday night 6/4 (12 rooms) at $134.95 plus tax per night, breakfast not included. I'll sign the contract as soon as I receive it and post an update to let you know when reservations for Marauders at Carlisle are good to go!

*Anyone is welcome to reserve a room from this block, (whether an mm.net member or not) Marauders optional! This is a very nice full-service hotel with a big parking lot, indoor pool, large public space and Irish Pub & Bar on premises. Plan on a 20-minute drive to the Carlisle Show field on some nice twisty country backroads. You can check out the hotel at the link below. I'll post up in a new thread when our group block goes live for reservations.
