I tried to search to see if anyone else had a problem with the dangling fuel cap scratching the car while fueling. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks!

Get a gas bib to protect the paint.

First thing I did was cut that tether off. I don't need it dangling there. If you can't remember to put your gas cap back on.

You can either cut the tether off which I have done or get a gas bib. There are a couple out there that fit perfect. If you don't want to spend the money, you can probably get a small sheet of PU leather and cut to fit.

Get a black 1ft square micro fiber and use it to protect your paint from the cap. Then roll up and fit inside the door above the gas tank cap. After reinstalling and tightening. Never gets wet, always there where you need it.

When you unscrew the cap, stuff it back into the opening behind the gas cap door's hinge instead of letting it dangle.
