Just sold my 2005 WRX and ordered a 2011 Mustang GT Premium 5.0 from the factory- Brembo brake upgrade, 3.73 gears. She's gonna look great next to the Marauder!! She arrives in early November. :banana:

I grew up in Detroit and am really proud to be able to own such a kick ass American car. Go Ford! If they keep making cars like they've been doing lately, I'll never own another import.
 
You'll love the new 5.0, got mine a couple months back and jsut got done driving it back and forth to Chicago. Great ride, can't wait to see the pics
 
Thanks for the congrats. It should arrive sometime in early November. I'll definitely post some pics.
 
Didn't get the glass roof option. It's pretty cool though. I figured the Brembo package was the better bang for the buck.
 
Dude...that is exactly how I am going to order mine. Black, Brembos and 3.73's. Otherwise bone stock. The wife says I need to sell the boat and the 64 Marauder first. So both are available. The 64 Marauder is listed on MM.net if anyone is interested. The boat is at a consignment dealer.

BTW. I was a Chevy head up unit I went to work for Jack Roush in 2003. I only drove and raced GM products. But Jack showed me the way. I have been reborn and I am 100% Ford now. Eveyone in the family drives one. Easy to fix, run forever and American Made (I hope).


Ahhhhhhh.....I have a confession......I now work for a Toyata Race team but it is about the paycheck and health insurance. I still love Jack!

Good luck with the sales! I hope you get what you need to order the 5.0 before the winter. Its amazing how good this car is.

Just got a call from the dealer today and its been scheduled for production and assigned a VIN. It should be about 4 weeks until it arrives.

I did select a couple additional options aside from the Brembo package and 3.73s- HID headlights, security package (for insurance discount), heated seats (for the wife), and rearview camera (for safety in the neighborhood). I also ordered a custom shift knob from GrabberPony.com. I really like the round shifter from the Premier Trim package, but didn't want to pay for a racing stripe on the seats and other nicknacks.

Are you going to put winter tires and wheels on your 5.0? I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out what size wheels and tires are required with the Brembo package. I know the stock wheels are 19 x 9, but I've read on some forums that 18s will fit. I'm confused, because it comes with 18s without the Brembos and steps up to 19s with.
