I'm really sorry to hear this Ray. Thank you for your service and support for the MM community. Good luck on whatever you're looking towards doing next.
Spilner check your pms.
If you're running the stock tune (which sounds like is the case) then the knock sensor is going to pull the reigns back pretty tightly. A dead giveaway to a tuning snafu is a 500 rpm idle - it should be right around 750 with the s/c tune.
I saw all kinds of old school muscle cars cruising up and down I-39 this weekend on my trip to grandma's house in Fond Du Lac WI to collect my girls due to the flooding up there. I-80 was closed and they were detouring up through Cedar Falls / Waterloo, but hearing TMF talking about the flooding...
Steve, Timken bearings were provided as part of the Moser axle group buy. I can't remember where the seals came from or if they came with with the bearings, but nothing special about them from what I remember. The diff lube was standard Motorcraft synthetic 75W-140 (without friction modifier...
Jack, the tc schedule is based on tp vs mph, so maybe your throttle linkage is sticking sending a higher than normal tps off-pedal. Would also explain the high idle. The IAC doesn't effect the tps so it wouldn't effect the tc unlocking.
Steve, man that engine bay is clean. I know you must have put some serious time under the hood. And those have to be the shiniest Marauder wheels I've ever seen... they looked chromed. Pretty soon you're going to have to decorate an "I love you" wall for all the trophies. As always - good showing.
I noticed today driving by a Conoco that they had 15 cent increments between grades. 87 octane was $3.87/gal, mid 89 octane was $4.02/gal and 91 octane was $4.17/gal. A station across the street and down a block had the same price on regular but the increment was the usual 10 cent between...
Our local novelty 100 octane race gas pump is now at $10 a gal. Used to be when it was $5.50 a gal all the ricers would top up there regularly. I imagine that gas may be getting pretty old that price.
John, I'm happy to hear the twister missed you. We had quite a wild weather night here a few weeks back and the tornado sirens were screaming for hours. Other than some wind damage several miles north of us and a tornado reported touching down about 50 miles away we didn't get much other than a...
I don't know what they sealed it with, but he was quite proud of the paint and told me not using anything very abrasive on it. He claimed it didn't even need to be waxed. I'm sure it's the high dollar sealer they try to sell in the finance office but it sure seemed to hold up pretty well. The...
The original owner (my old L/M dealer's business mgr) had the factory paint "sealed" by their body shop so I was always hesitant to take a machine polisher to it. I just tried to keep it clean and protected with Zaino products.
Good showing Steve. I only ever went out to one car show (besides at the MV shows) and just got a "Top 50", but it was mainly a Cobra replica show and I got stuck in the back in the L/M category next to a mint 50's Monterey that took the only trophy in that class.
...and it looks like you're...
