The Governor of Virginia approved a waiver for some 840 retailers to price their gas per HALF GALLON. Seems that many of the older analog display pumps can't display prices above $3.99 per gallon. The temporary waiver lasts until 30 September.
So, if you think you just found "half price" gas in good 'ole VA. Think again.
I suspect the oil companies are already considering pricing gas "by the liter" so the prices don't look so high and "in your face". Our $4.259 gas would go to $1.12 overnight and it would take months for the average American to figure out what happened.
