For Sale XCal2 with Lidio Tune

This was for a 2004. I don't recall ever needing to provide a VIN or receiving a code when I bought the tune. Is this locking thing something that people started doing later? Anything I can tell by looking directly at the tuner via USB? I guess I'm really confused too because since I returned...

For Sale XCal2 with Lidio Tune

I've had the locked/unlocked question come up a couple times. Based on my previous use and understanding it is locked once you program the tune into a car. When you unload the tune it reverts to unlocked. Please correct me if I'm wrong. WRT "catch code": I have no idea. Since the tune was...

    Here's one reason you lose 3rd & 4th gear

Yup... looks like the same thing that sidelined mine earlier this year. Unfortunately you weren't available to do the work at the time. Real quality part isn't it? Is an upgraded part even available? BTW: You ready to do the rear cooling kit on mine yet? ;)

    The Ford 500 ...observation

Amen. I actually prefer the current looks of the car and wish they would just update the powertrain. But I guess Ford considers it a failure to sell > 100K units of a "bland" car when Chevy considers it a success to sell 100K HHRs because they are "hip". Seems like Ford would be making more per...

Trans loses 3rd and 4th gear (Need built trans provider info)

Hell, I ordered his Level 2 kit. But there was no one local that I would trust to install it that could do it in a reasonable (to me) timeframe (Even though I thought I had someone lined up). So.... I ended up calling and having him cancel it before it was even sent. *sigh*

It's a New Year, Chicken Run anyone?

Sounds good. I hope to be there with the newly on the road Marauder.

Trans loses 3rd and 4th gear (Need built trans provider info)

I had the dealer do it. The only folks I would trust to upgrade the trans were way too far out on timeframes to get the daily driver back up and running. FWIW: It's a $68 part with > $1200 in labor. I'm pretty sure the trans will hold up until I get around to upgrading everything or getting rid...

Trans loses 3rd and 4th gear (Need built trans provider info)

:mad2: Good.. Now that *that* is out of the way. Let's just say that it has been a long, long road to getting the Marauder back on the road. Not much of the traveled road was fun but here is the culprit: After finding out that Ford originally wouldn't do anything to help with the repair...

    Factory Warranty extension offer

There you go. That's exactly right! It is also the boat I was in. Whether it is worth it or not really depends on how big the repair really is.
