Opinions on state of roller wear & cams

Junkyards and auto parts recyclers install them on various places on used engines as a warranty condition. They melt if the engine overheats, voiding the warranty.

Opinions on state of roller wear & cams

The rollers feel just as rough as they look unfortunately. Finding out it was a junkyard engine, I wouldn't be surprised if it got hot at some point. The heat tabs are intact, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Opinions on state of roller wear & cams

First a little backstory - Bought the car with around 90k miles 2 or so years ago. Reinhart did the SC kit hackjob early in it's life. It's been to Mo's for tuning, 3.73 rear gears, head cooling mod, tailshaft cooling mod, some repairs, etc. Decided it was time to start replacing soft items...

    Replacement Carpet

Following. I tried one shade of grey from ACC but it isn't quite right. Of course I can't find the email where I ordered it to know which shade it was lol

Replacement PS / trans cooler options

Definitely planning on it! Problem is, it's leaking, so I need a viable replacement for it to go along with an aftermarket. Hoping there is one from another panther that is cross-compatible?

Replacement PS / trans cooler options

As the marauder starts to approach 20 years old, she's showing her age. Rubber hoses are decaying, getting a few leaks here and there. I want to go through and do a pretty good service / replacement, especially on cooling related parts. One thing I'm struggling to find a replacement for is...

    Parking brake frame bracket bolts

That may be it. I ended up snagging a couple at the boneyard, but turns out my threads were also somehow damaged so even those wouldn't work :mad2:. Drilled and tapped to a 10mm and replaced with a couple class 10.9 10mm bolts. Not going anywhere now lol.

    Parking brake frame bracket bolts

After my parking brake stopped working, I got under the car for a little inspection and found what I believe the service manual calls the parking brake frame bracket to have come loose from the body. There are 2 holes for bolts that hold it to the body but for the life of me I can't figure out...

    Water ingress into interior help

Will do! The drain mentioned earlier literally had a rats nest in it lol, but with everything out of the interior I'll check / seal everything I can!

So you're saying this is a drain and NOT the mouse nest option? 😂 Thanks so much!

    Water ingress into interior help

I finally broke down and have started tackling the job of replacing the carpet in the Marauder now that it's back from Mo's. I removed the seats, center console and carpet and discovered some mold in the front of the passenger footwell. The thick lining against the firewall was soaked. There...

Update on my new-to-me Marauder purchased in August

KYB shocks and struts all around. Metco upper and lower rear control arms, Metco watts link and whatever it was that Mo's replaced all the front hardware with lol.

Update on my new-to-me Marauder purchased in August

For those that missed my thread after buying the car, I got a wild hair at the end of the summer and bought a SC 2004 Marauder while sitting on the tarmac at Charlotte Airport. I'd always wanted one and this one looked to be in decent shape for it's age and miles. It was in California and I'm...

    First visit to Mo's!

I got the Marauder back yesterday and spent the afternoon and evening driving around with a stupid grin on my face. Jeff told me it was the same car I dropped off...I'm not so sure LOL! Without exaggeration it feels and drives better than a brand new Marauder off the showroom floor...with...

    Seat Bolt Part Numbers

I just went through this myself lol. If you're referring to the front 2 bolts with the head made of jello that snaps off they are M8 x 30mm. Can't recall if 1.25 or 1.5 threads. Must be at least grade 8 for crash strength. I drilled mine out, tapped and replaced with M10 x 30mm. Sent from...

    Reset catalytic and evap monitor

My EVAP finally went ready. Turns out it has been too hot. According to http://www.obdii.com/drivecycleford.html IAT has to be between 40F-100F. It has been so hot lately and the design of the Reinhart "airbox" apparently doesn't do a great job of keeping hot engine bay air out. By the time...

    First visit to Mo's!

Hmmm. Wonder if I could setup an AirBNB Mo-tel for out of town Marauder owners [emoji23]. No nightly charge, I just get to test drive your car when Mo's is done with it lol! Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk

    First visit to Mo's!

Copied and paraphrased from another thread I posted in Shop Talk. After visiting Mo's for the first time with my new-to-me Marauder I wanted to share my experience. I can't say enough good things about the guys at Mo's. It's hard enough to find an HONEST shop nowadays, let alone one that...

Need some help with new-to-me boosted Marauder, slipping belt after new alt & belt

I had the pleasure of visiting Mo's Speed Shop today and meeting Jeff and the guys. We spent almost 2 hours going through the car from end to end, top to bottom. Feel much better being told that she's as good as she looks and is in good, stable shape. They're going to replace the normal aging...
