Up for sale is my 2003 Mercury Marauder. The car has been tastefully modified. It has a fully rebuilt rear end with 4.10 gears and stronger 31 spline axles (installed by Curless). The transmission has been rebuilt with high performance parts and a new torque converter, built to handle around 500hp (I told the shop I was shooting for 450RWHP whenever I got around to installing the blower). Shifts hard and chirps second gear without breaking a sweat.

The original engine had seized up on the previous owner, so a newer, lower mileage (was told approximately 77,000 miles) marauder engine was purchased from and installed by Curless approximately 8,000 miles ago. New Magnaflow stainless mufflers and 2.5" tubing have been installed as well as a stainless 2.5" H-Pipe. Car sounds amazing and can really move.

Also has an SCT2 Tuner included, as well as a 91 octane or 93 octane tune from Mo's. Installed new nitto motivos in the rear around 8,000 miles ago, the front tires were basically new when I got the car.

The car has 150,000 miles on the body so it has some dents and dings as well as some paint chipping and some small rust spots (eww, i know). Most of the driveline is practically new so the car does not feel like it has high miles at all.

Recently a deer smacked into the driver side, cracking the winshield and breaking the plastic mount on the mirror. It also dinged the fender a little bit which caused an existing paint bubble to flake off and expose a bit of rust. I have not fixed it yet because the damage was pretty minimal and was lower than my insurance deductible.

$7500 OBO, and if you pay near my asking price I will throw in parts to start an eaton swap (blower, lower manifold, intercooler, throttle body).

I love this car and its a blast to drive, but I have too many vehicles right now and the toys go first.

If you want more pictures, or have any more questions, give me a shout. There are tons more hard parts that were replaced on this car, I can supply receipts if requested.

Car is located in Davenport, IA , which is about 2.5 hours Southwest of the Chicago area.

Thanks,

Sean

it is late in the season for car stuff for a lot of us..winter coming, so some of us are not looikng for cars that we might not drive year round..it takes a little time to sell a marauder in most cases..this is my opinion.

There's the deer damage. I'll get more pics up later. I agree the timing is not so great. Interior is charcoal

same as what RCR said, plus:
150k and body damage = $6k or less, and guys with no money that will want it.
you asked for opinions....
good driver for ~$5-6k IMHO

GLWS!!

Considering there's a 83,000 mile car here with zero body damage for 6900.00 obo, and no rust,I'd say your about 2500.00 over priced

The mods you have, built trans and rear, that probably cost you a lot of money because you paid for someone to do the work.

I picked up my 190k marauder for less than 4k, no body damage, no rust, great paint, perfect interior.

I suggest you search through the cars for sale here and adjust your price

Has your car been repainted? You said it's bubbling up? Why?

I can see a bone stock car selling for that

If it's one thing I've learned it is knowing when you mod a car you will never get the money back or it could even hurt the sale. I consider just an added expense to enjoying something.

Personally I hope you get your price. I would rarely suggest someone to lower the price when it only further kills the value of all including mine. That would make ZERO sense unless I was in the market to buy.

No it hasn't been repainted. The paint on the front right Fender started to bubble from rust underneath, when the deer hit it then it flaked off. I may just pull the drive train from the car and put it in a Mustang. Then just part it out. I understand I may be over pricing it but if it's only worth 6 grand it's worth more to me to strip it down. That price includes many Eaton swap parts as well. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Ok guys, got my head out of the clouds and lowered the price. If you can't tell I'm impatient lol. To be fair when I first posted there wasn't as many for sale on here. I understand I'll never get my money back for the mods but I spent much more than I asked for. Anyways if somebody had a reasonable offer I will entertain it.

Hey Sean, I'm in the market for a Marauder in the 5 to 6k range. I've got cash and I'm just down the road in Cedar Rapids. Send me a pm if your interested.
