2004 MM inside tire wear

So...I've found the carfixer's specs here:

...but all the discussion I see seems to reference 2k3 MM's. I have a 2k4 that is chewing the hell out of inside tires...only became my daily driver in the last year though...so didn't pay much attention prior. The set on there now are less than a year old and the insides are almost chewed. Kind of annoyed with this. So...will carfixer's specs work on a 2k4 MM also?

I went through two sets of front stock tires, both had 70% tread left on them and the insides were worn smooth. Had the alignment done when I went to 255/45-18 on the front and getting very even tread wear now.
 
So, what are the tradeoffs if I can talk my alignment guy into the new and better specs? Less tire wear of course but will steering of handling suffer; and if so will my everyday driving even notice that? This is Zachary, the new and second Zack. I too am tired of replacing $250 dollar tires way too soon due to the factory alignment specs. I gather I will face pushback from alignment shops, especially if some destruction of the stock structure is necessary to do something other than the factory specs. I plan to print out all the pictures and notes from other forum posts before my next alignment. Need advice as my local shop is a Ford/Mercury/Lincoln dealer.
 
I have mine done to those specs and do not have any problems. I had my 2004 done at a Mercury dealer I just told the alignment man that is what I wanted it is my car after all.

Sometimes you got to be very specific and insist on your specs. If you can view the alignment being done, ask for a printout afterward to confirm.

I go to Jack Williams Tire in Whitehall, PA. They understand the reasons for my specs being used and have been very good at matching the numbers. They also do the roadforce tire balancing.

Unless your drive very aggressively (i.e. road course driving/cornering) you likely won't notice any difference.

The only real change the alignment guy may have to do is cut off the flags to get camber into range.

If he gives you any grief, tell him that hundreds of MM guys have gone with these specs with NO negative results.
 
My alignment shop Tech asked me if he could keep carfixers numbers, as he said they replaced 2 sets of front tires on a couple of other marauders in town. I said sure, he didn't charge anything to remove the flags.....:D
