2014 Chevrolet SS Review

Nice too bad Holden is going bye bye! This SS may not last long. Sweet car based on the same Pontiac G8 GT setup.
 
It's not bad looking, at least in Black. Not diggin' the big brass bowtie on the front grille or the chrome venty things on the side behind the front wheels but perhaps they can be dealt with. 45K+ is a bit steep but wait a year or two and you could get a new one with cash back.
 
The more I look the more I'm really wanting to like this car. There is just something about the exterior that doesn't jive. I like the details on the inside, the engine and am surprised about the exhaust note...Need to see and drive one in person...

+1 on driving one.

The exterior is still a bit commuter car looking for me and from what the guy described the interior is a mix of nice leather and cheapo Chevy plastics. For a 45K Chevy it should be all premium interior goodies.
 
this car is going to fail in my eyes you the price to just to high for what you are getting, for a a couple thousands more you could get a twin turbo v6 cts vsport
 
To bad FORD doesn't make a big RWD V8 sedan anymore.....:(....:shake:

Nice car, but Chevy managed to turn the sweet looking Pontiac G8 into.....:snore:

I agree the price is tough , but the isn't the CTS a 60k car, that is a 25% jump up from 45k..
 
Pretty nice car. Just need to get rid of the Bow Tie badge on the front and rear of the car. Needs a nice classy badge. Price doesn't seem out of line with other cars in that price range. Hell, even a Hyundai Genesis R-Spec is in the same ballpark.

According to that dyno video, that new 6.2L SS is cranking out about the same amount of RWTRQ and 30 LESS RWHP than a 5.0L BOSS 302....:P

Time for some Hennessy mods.
 
At least they're putting out cars for us guys who don't want *****y appliances.

Ford needs to take note because they are getting spanked in the cool 4 door market by GM, Chrysler/Dodge, and just about everyone else including Hyundai. I have 0% interest in any Ford car other than a 2013 Mustang 5.0.
