A few of you long-timers might remember this thread.

For you 2nd / 3rd / 4th /...th generation owners, this is one of the best endorsements for our car that was ever put on-line.

Enjoy!

Scott S.

Good read! Thanks for pulling this one out and dusting if off, and IMO, as true today as when it was originally written.

looks like a good read but I cant sit still long enough to read it all.

Print it out my friend. Read it when you can...it's worth it!

I'm gonna consolidate and print this myself. If, by some bad fortune, I ever need to sell my MM, the next owner will get this write-up too. So they know what they're getting themselves into ;)

I see those old posts and wonder what ever happened to some of those people. Some people sell the Marauder, some just suddenly stop posting. Guess they didn't like the car as much as they originally thought.

Though it is a well written article, frankly Id rather read a one liner "I like my car" from a current owner.

Yep, well written. Coming up on year 7 with mine, still love it. Wish spring wasn't so long away.

I think this post needs a Sticky

Again, to the Marauder community, this guy really says what this car is all about. Dear Web Administrators, can we make this a sticky on the site?

Thanks,

Scott S.

I read the original post... & I have to say that it's very well written.

I got my license in my mom's '94 Grand Marquis, my 1998 Interceptor carried me EVERYWHERE, & my current '04 is my DD/general haberdashery mobile (straight pipes for life!).

I was drawn to the Marauder not for "sinister" looks, but because it just appears clean & professional. A big, black Mercury commands attention anywhere it goes without neon paint & the hyperactive "look at me look at me" attitude.

Point in short - any time I've worn a suit to a function, I've always felt very, VERY sharp stepping out of this car, especially being surrounded by Lexus', Mercedes Benzs', & BMW's.

The cars definitely have a subdued charm that I love every little bit of. I don't see the austere, authoritative look the plain jane crown vics have. Every time I look at my Marauder, it screams "I'm here to do business".
