For Sale 96 bronco

my bronco has moved on too its new home at Charlies place. he already has her tucked in the garage with his MM. i couldnt have asked for a better new owner to take care of my baby.

Indeed! Best impulse decsion I've ever made! Well sort of... I've been looking Broncos for quite a while now but couldn't come across the right one for the right price. I've seen Daves Bronco before when Cheesehead Bob bought a pick up truck from him and admired it then.

Seeing his thread offering a trade and my truck fitting into his plan, along with a few other cosmic coincidences, told me it was time!

More later.... THANKS DAVE!!

Good stuff! This is a great vehicle, and yeah, Dave takes great care of his stuff, enjoy!

It's true what they say. If you stress, hunt, pick claw and just plain drool over what you want, you're likely not going to find it. For quite some time, I've been looking at Broncos online. Sites like eBay and Craigslist had some nice contestants, but I wasn't spending an arm and a leg, or traveling to bum fnck USA. And we all know what you typically find at the dealers.....

So with my search suspended and life moving along at a swift pace, I focused on other projects. I barely had time for my Marauder. After a short break, I felt the need to pop in to MercuryMarauder.net and see whats what.

I had no idea what was about to happen.

Up comes this thread by a Impalaslayer

My wheels start turning. I post. He posts. He PMs me, I PM him. Text messages.... Phone calls... In person inspections... with in four days, he owns my 89 F250, I own his 96 Bronco!

So here I am. After 15 years, a Bronco owner again! I will always miss that ole 86 EB. Daves 96 EB is a fine survivor and I'm thankful he let her go. I have a few tweeks or mods to make, but nothing drastic. Just to put "my touch" on it.

This size tire (33x12.5 R15) and lift is perfect (IMO) for this truck and for what I plan to use it for. Besides, it juuuust made it into the garage! I can sum it up with "Good things come to those who wait" This truck has miles, but it also has had its fair share of TLC.

I spent the last few hours in, under, over and around this truck. Hard to believe it is as old as it is.

Thanks for the kind words

i said i would miss the bronco, but i really dont due to this pic.

I do believe this is the first pic I've taken of the Bronco, and it has a Marauder in it!

Took my wife out for a spin. To say she was on the fence at first would be an understatement. She said it sounds like the Marauder... :D But, she was sold on it after a short cruise around town!

So Far:
-I got an estimate on replacing the back window due to the fubar tint. That will happen soon.

-Found the problem with the rear defroster (fuse missing).

-I modded the am/fm antenna so the BKO fits in the garage w/o hitting.

-Took a look into the tail gate and was happy to see very little rust. I plan on treating it with POR 15 or similar product.

The short list of things to come:

-Pass state inspection! Hopefully they dont try and gouge the ***** outta me!

-New outside mirrors since the passenger side is cracked and both are faded.

-New pinstripe

-New door to glass seals. Mine are in pretty good shape, but are starting to show signs of drying out and cracking.

-Remove the air dam from under the front bumper.

-Lund visor. Already have it from one of my junkyard excursions. Needs paint.

I just realized I have a garage full of cars no one makes anymore. A Mercury Marauder, wifes Pontiac Torrant, and now the Bronco!

i pulled the fuse out of the defroster slot, it was blown when i got the truck i just never got around to figuring out WHY it was blown.

on the pin stripe, i have a oem replacement kit for the lower one for it, if you ever decided to get that dent fixed in the rear you will prolly need it. its for a truck but should be enough for a short little bronco.

on the lower air dam, not sure if you are interested but i have almost everything to add first gen lightning fog lights to it.

Probably the defroster element or the bend from the tailgate - to - body harness.

The shop that will do my MD inspection is also a body shop. I will get an estimate. But I can live with it just fine. The tan pin stripe should not be too much to have redone.

Thanks for letting me know about the lightning air dam, I'll look into it and see if it works for me.
