1976 Datsun pickup. Only 8 are still registered in the United States and apparently this is a real 4X4 with Dana axles right from Datsun. This frame-off was meticulous and he had 30 miles on it since restoration. Fired right up with a quick stab of the key and was as fresh as the day it was built.

Cool! And yes I'd drive it. But I'd prefer a beat up non-restored one so that way I wouldn't feel bad about 'wheelin it.

I had one of them in 1983. If you listened real close you could hear it rust.
Lotsa fun in the sand dunes north of WPB Fl.

I had an '88.5 Suzuki Samuri.

I guess that means I'd drive anything. :o I could also hear that one rust too. Slamming the door too hard would cause chucks of it to hit the ground. Most fun I ever had with $800 though.

My uncle had a Datsun pick-up. Same body style, non 4 wheel drive tho. He had it about 10 years. Everytime it would rust out, he'd re-bondo it and paint it a different color. I saw it solid blue, solid green, and solid blue AGAIN all in 10 short years. The bed finally rusted thru and fell down on the wheels. Sucker ran like a champ right up till the end, tho.

My first vehicle was a 1978 Datsun King Cab 4x2. It ran like a champ, had a 5 speed manual when everyone else was using 4 speeds. The issue was bed rust. Single wall construction and cheap American paint jobs were the death knell for the bed. The trucks were shipped from Japan in chassis cab so you could configure how you wanted the bed. The Japanese paint faded in 6 months but wasn't prone to rust. The beds were another story. One little dent from the inside and you had a potato chip and rust was sure to follow.

Sorry to the OP but no, this truck is just too ugly for me! Also I'm having a hard time digesting the $49.99 trailer rims on any "meticulously restored" vehicle.

That thing is great! I would love to drive around in a truck that said "LIL HUSTLER" on it! There is a Datsun pick-up in the woods in my town and my friend and I discovered it once as kids when we were riding our bikes through the woods. It was full of bullet holes and scared the hell out of us and we pedaled off as fast as we could! haha. Of course we did go back to it because it was cool. There was also an abandoned house in the middle of the woods with no driveway or anything leading up to it. That was a cool fort!

Just click on the x. It works.

Reminds me of this. They were selling these new at the Dodge dealer I worked at as a porter. I thought they were kind of gay even back then. At least they had a V8.

One of those popped up at a local classic car consigner a few years back, except they replaced the entire drivetrain with that of a Ram SRT/10: 8 litre V10 engine and T-56 6-speed trans. MEAN little truck.

Anything with that drivetrain would be instantly transformed into an awsome vehicle. Even the Pelosi GTXi!
