Affordable 14" Brake kit

Years ago KVR made a 14" brake kit for me, they no longer do, and Russ had a old set and I had mine, so we found a company that will make the rotors, then they send them to another company and they cryo treat them. I have a company that will make the billet hats, I have added a PBR twin piston caliper and ceramic pads, and SS brake lines. I am working on the prices right now, and will have them by the end of the week, here are the pictures of the new kit. Chad installed the rotor on the wrong side, we are test fitting every thing on my car.

May be interested, but what about the rear. My OCD would not allow me to only do half the car...

Still too small, and visually disturbing. Anything possibly in the works for a bigger upgrade?

Well that is fine, there are other kits out there. Todd has a awsome complet kit for about 3K, and there is Bear, I just do not see the need to put large brakes in the rear. And this kit is just one of many to choose from.:)

Interested!
What is the availability w/metalic pads? Not a big fan of ceramics for my personal use.

Good pads and the stainless steel brakes lines are all that are needed for the rear brakes. The front brakes do 75%+ of the work. That is where you want the most improvements.

I have the KVR kit that Dennis was talking about. I have 30k and still 1/2 the pads left so good ware and stopping. The main different with this kit over the Bear Kit is the Hat that is on the hub. The KVR hats are larger and this means you have less rotor to warp. The replace meant rotors are a quality piece I did a lot of searching to find them. I have not had any brake fade or rotor concern due to heat of repeated stopping or when hot lapped my car one night at the track 10 runs @ 95 deg outside and brakes were great from 120 to 15 at the turn off (Zmax Race way). I hope this helps others looking for improved braking with a 14" front kit. You will also notice the brake pedal feel is much improved over stock less peddle travel for the car to stop. PM me if you have any question. Russ

this sounds like another good option for our cars depending on how competitive the selling price will be.

Thank you Russ plus the new calipers have larger pistons this will also help.

You originally did my car in 2003 with the KVR kit; the car was taken to a Ford Dealer who has a race shop and somehow when the vehicle returned the factory calipers and rotors were on the car and it never stopped the same. Looks Nice Dennis; As long as it stops the car before the second turn off at the track. Its something about those red calipers that makes a black car stand out. Allen
