Anyone priced front tires recently...

I just installed the Nitto NT555's. 255/45-18 on the front & 265/50-18 on the rear. The stance is almost identical to the OEM BFG's.

Keep in mind, these are a summer only tire.
Yep, and they are just a hair smaller than stock sizes, one day I may lower my car to get rid of the fender gap but it's not really that bad. I know handling with this tire combo improved as well feeling more of the road (bumps and stuff) but I can live with it.

Ask one of your kid's to do it old man :geezer::D

HA...you's funny! Actually it's a combination of my CPU probably running at 50% or less effeciency and I'm using my phone to get on the internet, which makes me have to deal with signal/connectivity issues. It's a pain sometimes, but usually works fine...and NO monthly internet bill!

Attached are pics of my Coopers I got last week. Will be getting Coopers on the rears later this month; my passenger rear BFG is worn down to where several of the 'wear bars' are missing. This also tells me that when I spin 'em, only that tire is spinning, which means I need to get the diff rebuilt. No biggie, as I had planned on doing that when I get the 410s installed...which I guess for sure won't be until July since I gotta buy new rears now and not 2-3 months down the road like I had hoped.

A couple weeks ago I bought a pair of P235/50ZR -18 PIRELLI P ZERO NERO ALL SEASON for the front, $335 delivered at TireRack.com

Old thread alert!

I'm needing front tires and there is an local ad for the above tires with very low miles for very few dollars.

Any opinions for Pirelli zero nero tires?

where is a good place to get Coopers? <May be taking a trip to the US but don't know the best retailers. Would be headed to Florida.

Just purchased 2 rears oem fromTire Rack. $205 each $26 shipping
I prefer the oem and will be buying the 2 fronts in a couple of weeks.
Pricey but I think these tires are the best for me on my Marauder

I agree. I have nothing against the stock tires other than price. But every other performance tire in this size is going to run a good amount. I bought the blem inside out printed tires on ebay. Great deal. 2 for $280.

I don't like the thicker rears people have been installing on MMs. Looks like an off road tire.

I scooped up 4 appropriately sized front tires for $60 off Craigslist almost 2 years ago that had an average of 7/32nds left on them.

1 and 2 lasted until about a month ago, working on 3 and 4 right now. I drive pretty aggressively sometimes...frequently driving it through warehouse parking lots as if I was on a race track :cool4: (heavy cornering in the 30-40MPH range) and fall into the average miles per year bracket (12-15k). My theory is that it's okay to not pay shelf price for brand spanking new front tires if you're on a budget. I would however not skimp on the rear tires as they are way more integral to the handling of the vehicle.

Discount Tire and Walmart do installs for $5-10 per tire. (As long as it meets their safety standards)

Just be weary of the age marked on side of tire, tread evenness, and any patches that are not done "professionally" as most legitimate shops will refuse to mount them.

Good to know about walmart, I wonder if Sam's does the same and as far as plugs and patches...I don't trust either because of my driving habits.

They're ok.

Tread life isn't the best, but they're a little lower on the price totem pole so I guess it balances out. I've got about 30k on a set of 4 and theyre pretty much at the wear bars, replacing them next week. I don't really hammer on them either.

Continental extreme contact DWS
I'm running these front and back and and as long as there available I will always buy these. Awesome ride

I had looked for options when I worked for Conti, but don't remember seeing sizes that would have worked close to OEM. What sizes are you running?

Where would I find the "carfixer" specs for aligning the tars you all speak of? I noticed the front two are wearing on the outside although the car tracks straight an true. These tars were installed by the dealer before I bought the car and are/were brand new BFGoodrich's.

Thanks all - This is a very timely post/old thread resurrection for me as I'm looking now.

Coopers and Nittos and Firestones.............

Oh my!
