Are the pre-cat 02 sensors the same for 04MM and Grand Marquis?

The dealership says they're the same, but the mechanic says they're not.

NGK/NTK is OEM, All 4 are the same O2 sensor. The front sensors are most important.

I think they are the same as MM

According to www.tascaparts.com and www.rockauto.com
on both cars the sensors are the same. Part number 5C5Z-9F472-BA for the pre cat sensors $39.81 each for genuine Ford parts. The rear sensors are different than the front, but the same on both cars also.

They are the same. Only front vs rear is different (connectors different). I have changed out 6 sets of O2 sensors on MM's and the Ford parts work great.
