Big Thanks to FastBlackMerc

So I had the dreaded EATC problem, and since I know as much about cars as I do astrophysics, this could have cost me big money at the Dealership. But as we ahve witnessed many times on this site, help is just a click away. FastBlackMerc offered to fix the O-rings for me, sent me directions on removal of the EATC, and I had it out in a Jiff.

Sent it out to him, he got it fixed and shipped right back and now the Marauder is colder than the other side of the Bed.

Jim was great to work with, eager to help and was quick. Thanks for taking care of my big ass in this Atlanta heat.

If you are having EATC problems, do yourself a favor, and just send it to FBM, if I can take it out, and get it back in (Easy Casey) than anyone can do it.

thanks again Jim :D

Definitely always willing to school you with some knowledge and help out a fellow MM'er. Nothing but good things to say from me!

I'm still trying to figure out my HVAC problem. I replaced the O-rings but the problem is still there but not as bad as before.

Had the first lengthy drive today with the repaired EATC, and I'm still cold, been home for a half hour. Thanks again Jim x10 Jim Da Man

I'm thinking better you should drive home hot and cool off with cold beer, but that's just my opinion...

Did you take a look at the specific problem I had? Look here:

about halfway down the page, with the long discertation.

The problem I found was that the solenoid vacuum manifold had leaks in it, even though I had replaced the o-rings (which have nothing to do with the manifold).

I to have the EATC problem. What is the cost for O rings, and does the dash need to come out? As I don't know one end of a hammer from another, any help is welcomed.

PM fastblackmerc, he can help you out with all of the above.

What he said. I don't know jack about cars, but fastblackmerc sent me great instructions, had it out in minutes and on it's way to him. It's the easiest route to go and solved the problem. HIGHLY recommend the fastblackmerc fix, send him a pm, he will hook you up
