Black Box in Trunk

hey guys, Im looking into installing a nice stereo system in my Marauder and I want to put the sub box in the trunk where the spare tire goes so I dont lose any trunk space. But I noticed a black box mounted right next to where the tire sits (looking at it, its on the left, tire on the right). What the hell is that box? I cant figure it out. Im guessing it the stock amp? But Im not sure. If you guys can help me out, Id appreciate it. Thanks.

It is the factory sub woofer if its to the left of the spare tire.

I see that you built a custom box and put it where I want mine, can you tell me how tall it is?

I found a box with 2 10's in it and it looks like it will fit, but I dont know. Im goin today to measure. If it doesnt fit, I'll make my own box. Will 10's fit up there??

When I got an AVIC-D3, I took the factory box and cut it out for an 8". Replaced the amp, and put it back in. Works fine for me, and you can't tell I changed anything from factory.

It's an idjit analizer. Don't open it or all the idjits will fall out.

I have a custom box mounted where the spare tire used to be.I have two 8"s JL AUDIO W7 firing throw my rear deck & JL AUDIO c5 5x7 for my mid & highs,300/4 amp & a 500/1.My car jams really good & i still have all my trunk space i'll post some pics later.
