Carolina Marauders meeting?

Hello all,

Just wanting to put out the idea of trying to set up a meet sometime next month. Location? Date? I know with summer just 'round the corner, we'll all be busy with other things, but would like to at least give this a shot.

So, to try and do this the good ol' American way, let's put it up to a vote.

Locations: Columbia, Charlotte, or other (known as a write-in...lol)

Dates: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th

Once we get those nailed down, we can go into further details, such as meeting spot, time, etc.

My votes for location: 1st choice--Myrtle Beach, 2nd--Columbia, 3rd--Charlotte

My votes for dates: 1st--11th, 2nd--25th, 3rd--4th (I will be in WI on 18th)

Just want to get the ball rolling; I know we won't get 100% match for everyone, but 99% is just as good!;)

The polls will close on 1 June 2011, so get your vote(s) in now!:beer:

Presently the 25th is good and location in Columbia is good for a change---its a nice drive down and back in one day--
 
My wife and I work every Sat., & Sun. (Those are the only days we work though), so we wouldn't be able to make this meet, unless we took vacation, and we already have the 6th, & 7th of Aug.
 
I'll check to see what's going on for Those dates in Columbia. But for now on top of my head im Sure everyone knows shealy's BBQ world famous is about under an hr out of Columbia. There's a nice out door mall with a cigar shop. And a sports bar with pool tables
 
I second the vote for Myrtle Beach...Lot's of great spots to meet..Any date will work for a retired gent like me.:)

He means that looks like the next meeting time according to the majority of us. The 11 o clock news thing is a joke.

There's been just a handful of replies about meeting in June, and most of them are pointing towards the 25th in Columbia...I know I just put this out yesterday, so I may be a little too eager. Just excited about getting together again...the BOC was the 'icebreaker' for us; now we can really let loose the next time we meet. :banana:

What can I say? I'm bored and got nothing else to do at the moment...

For those of you that were at the BOC and didn't catch it, I'm a sarcastic, funny, smart-ass...some people like, some don't. I was once called a 'sarcastic SOB' by my boss when I was in Korea...don't mind being given that moniker....and I know it rubs some people the wrong way...not intentional; it's my way of dealing with new people until I get to know them better.:puke:
 
We know! :P I am the kind to end up that way after I know people well enough. The reason I haven't voted is b/c I never know if I am able to attend something like this until the time is closer. SOOOOO when ya'll pick a date and time I can tell you if I can be there or not later.

Thats the way we all are--I don't know either for teh 25th but for now it looks good--could be in the same situation as you too .....so for now --just say what it is..........we all understand------
 
July 4th.Murrells Inlet...Huge fireworks display over the inlet...Patriotic music accompiantment..great turn out..great family fun for all...lots of antique and custom cars and choppers...there are about 20 bars and restaurants in a row....firework show is comparable to NYC macy fireworks....before fireworks which usually starts at 10pm there is a boat parade..We go every year and love it.you will too....Come early in the day and have a pool party at my house..all are invited..:beer:

Marauderman, if I get orders to Australia, I can let you 'borrow' mine while I'm down under, mate.

At Marauderman's suggestion, did the photobucket thing. I'm just gonna try one pic to make sure it works before I upload the rest. Please let me know if this worked...will just need 2 or 3 yays or nays to find out.
