Carolina Marauders meeting?

Now you know Cheese is drolling and all about this .........and when anyone of us get one........we finally go ahead and tell.........so out with it .......we all want to know about it: from your own words.......

"got a speeding ticket on the way but that's another story"

we're waiting............or are you waiting till Columbia to tell only those who show up...

So here I was, on my way to Jim's house, minding my own business, not going a mile over 110 mph...well, maybe not.:P Actually I was going through Sanford and a "countie mountie" pulled me over and said he clocked me at 60 in a 45 zone.:shake: Hard to believe as I was just stopped at a traffic light scant seconds before that. He was driving a Charger...should have just blown his doors off!;) $30.00 fine and $141.00 court costs.:mad2:Suggestions are welcomed.:help:

Try not to speed next time you go through Sanford...

Well at least you had the gumption to tell us after all :2thumbs:

Your right...it mucks when that happens.....my only suggestion is to go back to the spot where you left the light to where you where stopped and determine if what happen could have happen---

Bugsyc,

Which day of the 4th of July weekend were you wanting for everyone to gather in MB? Just curious because I will be on 'stand-by' on the 4th, but can come up on the 3rd. I will be going to Asheville to see my kids on the 1st and 2nd...

I hope it goes without saying,y'all are welcome anytime...The fireworks display, which is definetly worth seeing,is on the 4th..About 10pm...I am originally from NYC and I have seen the Macy's 4th of July fireworks close and in person from my boat right up along side the statue of liberty.Having said that, the 4th here in Myrtle Beach is of course on a smaller scale but, very tastefully done...well worth seeing..Patriotic music accompionment and outdoor seating on the grass(bring your own favorite folding chair)....There are fireworks displays all up and down the beach and can be seen from my viewing spot on Murrells inlet, where there are about 20something bar/restaurants in a row...All of which feature live bands...This area is where bike week is held every year and no matter when you come down you will enjoy...If you can't make it on the 4th but,can on the 3rd,come on down anyway. We would love to see you...bugsy c

OK now fellow Marauders are we going to meet in Columbia this month???Where and when please, I and the wifey are anxious to attend...We can talk about July 4th then if anyone wants.....Goose Creek, come on up to Myrtle Beach anytime, you're only 1 1/2 hours away...Pool Party at my house???:)

I think we're set for the 25th, see post #58 for time and location of the BBQ place.

Funny....I drove through your neck of the woods today (twice) on my trip to Wilmington to meet Jim (fastblackmerc) to have him swap out my LCM and o-rings (two were completely shot). I kept my eyes peeled, but didn't see ya!;) If I had the time, I would've let you know I'd be in the neighborhood and maybe meet up somewhere, but needed to be back in my neck of the woods by 3. I did notice a lot of people were lookin' hard at my MM...I felt very similar to the day I became a father for the first time.

Jim is an all-around great guy. After he finished the work, we stood around and shot the breeze for about an hour. He's got an awesomely-customized MM. If anyone were to say anything bad about him, I'd be inclined to punch 'em in the face...not many people make me feel that way after just meeting them....including my ex!

I'm down for making a trip up to MB anytime...I liked what I saw on my way back; just gotta be careful....you know what they say: do 15 and get 20! You may regret your invitation!

I'm leaving Tuesday for my almost 3,000 mile journey to WI and back, so I won't be posting that much (if at all), but I still plan on being in Columbia on the 25th. I'll re-read this thread to make sure, but I don't think a 'start time' has been designated yet....

..so do I come a get the Silver beast for safe keeping while your gone????

Going to Ct. on Thursday and don't think I'll be back before the 25th.:( Hope y'all have a great time.:) Drink a quaff of ale for me.

We will try to make the meet, but like I said it will have to be a little closer to the date for us to confirm. Sorry I haven't been on here to reply, but my work schedule has been CRAZY!

Sorry, Tom...I'm using the silver beast (I need to nickname my car already, BTW) for my 3000 mile journey and I'm not going to Australia, so you're SOL...;)

I'm putting in my retirement paperwork tomorrow; retiring 1 Jan 2012. When I get back from WI, will begin the process to file for divorce. I'm tired of being in 'limbo' like I've been for the past 6 months, so I'm doing what's necessary to change that and do what is going to make ME happy. I can honestly say I did what I could (20 years in military; 10 years in marriage) in both situations to make others happy, but now it's time to make myself happy...and hold my head up high knowing I gave both everything I could.

Hey, maybe my nickname for my MM can be 'Silver Phoenix' since I'm rising from the ashes....
