Confused About My S/C

I'm knew to the S/C Upgrade. I'm currently on deployment in the Arabian Gulf. When I return around November, I'm ready to go faster! My MM has a K&N CAI and a SCT Tune By Reinhart Automotive. I dont know if I should go Vortech (recommended by Reinhart) or Roots? Any suggestions? :argue:

Thank you so much for your service good sir! well as for a S/C type, it really depends on your goals with the car, both are excellent choices with different power bands

I like the roots style.

1. I think it looks way better.
2. The low end off the line grunt the roots style provides over a centri.
3. My Eaton swap looks factory.
4. My Eaton swap cost less too.

Just my simple opinions.

BUT!!

Boost is boost. Get what suits your tastes, power levels and your wallet.

Boost. Its whats for dinner!!

I have had a Vortech for 120K miles. Today the best bet is an Eaton swap. Most of the parts are Ford and will be available in the future.

Dennis did my original setup. I was very pleased and made a lot of power. I changed over to roots to mix it up. You can't go wrong either way but they do look different. With DR being in close to you and he has a complete kit I'd recommend going that way. He puts together a great kit! Here was my setup before.

I also ran a 12.88 on his street tune, no burnout, and street tires. I'm in the right hand lane.

^^^^^ + 2 on the Eaton swap, but centri's are a great set-up, too.

Price-wise, an Eaton swap will cost you between $3,500 and $4,500 for parts, IIRC, a Vortech V trim is going to be around $5,000 - $5,500.

Either of the above will still require installation, which will be anywhere from $750 to $1,500 unless you do it yourself.

It is also a good idea to upgrade your stopping power (brakes) and to also upgrade your suspension with sway bars and control armrs.

And the mods are only just starting with that. There will be more to that will need to be done

Well there you go! Mo's Speed Shop, the .net's only official Eaton Swap resource!

No reinhart

Please do yourself a favor, DO NOT GO TO REINHARTS. What happened to me is happening to another MM.net member right now. There are plenty of honest hard working members here that will help you. Both SC are good, one is better off the line the other is better up top. Have fun stay safe. :)

Thank you for your service! :flag:

I have a TRILOGY (roots style)

Out of the hole torque can't be beat!

But at the end of the day boost is boost! :burn:

And you won't be dissappointed with either setup.

TRUE, THAT, DOOMIE! :burnout: ------->

Reinhart is not the only one that can sell you a vortech kit.

+1 hell do what i did and make your own kit! its actually not hard at all to gather up all the parts for a centri build!

well unless you get carried away with sheetmetal.....ummm nevermind:bigcry:

Mo's would be my #1 choice for any install. I only recommended DR because your info says you're in Jacksonville Florida and he's close to you. Which ever way you decide to go Boost is a Wonderful Thing!;)

CLOSE is the key word here. I recommend moving. Mr. Reinhardt is a serious hazard to your wallet and your Marauder. Don't become one more horror story. Thank you for your service. Semper Fi. Dennis
