Coolant crossover tube solution?

I asked for what I thought was a fair price to a local Chicago area member.
I shipped in a few hours after we made the deal.
I've been screwed over so many times here, I would rather be remembered for the helpful , and friendly and generous.

Uhhhhmmm, I know of many that have helped others, and the guy your bad mouthing is one of them.

My take on it is..... The car was limited production, those of us that chose to get our hands on extra parts for what ever reason, now are sitting on a gold mine.

Are you enjoying those free floor mats I sent you? Did that make you feel screwed over?

I don't care how I am remembered on earth, I will only have to answer to God for what I have done.

I thought the floor mats were a thank you , for finding a buyer for your buddies '04 SB.
You may remember, the 70 year old fellow that drove hundreds of miles with a cashier's check for 18000 and drove it home.
My car hasn't been in service for three years, so the mats are still almost like new.
With the exception of the rubber had dried out and the little nibbies were falling off when I received them.
If you are hard up for more hoardings,
I'll gladly give them back for 500

They were a thank you, from me, not the seller, and I fit your description of those overcharging for parts. How can that be?

I remember vividly the buyer of the car, as well as the rough turns in his life that he described to us, when I talk to Todd, we still talk about him to this day, great guy, but had so many unfortunate turns in his life.

I still have nib mats, no need for any more. My point was.... Even though many are hoarders, and occasionally they sell parts for what seems like a lot of money, many of us do pay it forward to others. Painting everyone with the same brush is unfair.

Now I can think of a couple that are highly respected members that have drug some members through the coals with some bad deals. But everyone still loves those guys..... Go figure.

That's why I am having a hard time understanding , your comments about "Painting everyone with the same brush!"
I helped out a local , he just got his Marauder from a co-worker.
Turns out, it needed lots of work!
Whole timing set, W/P, and crossover pipe, Etc.
He already sourced a used pipe as many saw in his thread.
Evidently he did not have faith in repairing said pipe.
I offered to meet him half way with the part, that must be his only vehicle because he was not able to .
I guess I know better, what it feels like to be without a means, to get my Marauder fixed.
I sold something too cheap and you give away something to me worth even more?
So what if I did the same as you and gifted him the part?
Is that not what you did for me?
If you remember, I messaged you about selling them when you gifted them to me.
I needed the money because I blew my motor at Union Grove.
Out of respect and admiration for you I just shelved them.
You asked me politely not to sell them , and that's fine!
Just be willing to use the same unit of measure , you hold me to .

Good luck with the primo piece, I sent you today .
Spend the difference these ass hats wanted on the other things you still need.
I have a timing gasket set and front main seal you can have for next to nothing.
They are all scare tissue.
And I've been ripped off by the veterans here!

These dick heads are gouging because the know how hard it is to get good parts.
Really pissing me off!
Back in the day , credible members tried to help one another.

By your own previous admission. You have all he cash to chubby up for a new vehicle for less than you spent on your MM, what is your wait?

^^^See the above^^^ it does appear that you are painting all with the same wide brush. Those people that have made money, also "give" alot to others and this community.

You can do what you like with those floormats, they are yours, sell them, burn them, use them for place mats on your table.

I have more sympathy for someone who blew their motor up driving as opposed to someone who blew the motor in their "toy" drag racing it. If you can't afford to fix it, don't beat on it. That's the measure I hold myself too, I pay to play, I don't want sympathy, admiration, or even lunch.

I actually did have what I thought was enough money to fix it when it broke.
A member here that I loved and trusted , knowingly sold me a motor , that was not as advertised.
An extra four thousand for rebuild .
Besides divorce, two evictions, and the repair shop going out of business .
Now enjoying life as a physically disabled senior citizen.
Life's been fun!

It's never enough money.

While I haven't had the same problems as you, we all have difficulties we must deal with, I am convinced it is to make us better people.

I do however feel your pain, not everyone here is just looking at the board as a source of income, but 2 I can think of immediately come to mind......

If you need something, just ask, I have parts, and am always willing to help a brother out. If I don't have it, I can find it or steer you to someone that does. That's how it works, but you already knew that.....

And I don't learn as fast as some, but you already know that.
I never mind paying up for quality.
You can't spend enough for it.
Darrell you are a stand up guy , even if you won't let me buy you lunch.

How many people are keeping their MM to part it out for millions and how many are keeping their MM to pay millions to maintain it?

Hell, I tried giving my car away, couldn't even get the guy to take it for free. Maybe I'll part it out

Gouging is not new in the car hobby

but my experience here with the MM guys has always been good. One point that might help. My son who owns a car repair shop specializing in 10 to 15 year old cars, says coolants can turn acidic after five years. So, MM guys, change out the coolant and maybe you won't have to pay $1k for a COT.

Thanks Brad for the part, it was in excellent shape. Because of you, another marauder can finally prowl the streets!

That is the happiest news , I've had all day!
Happy Maraudering!
Hope to catch up with you soon!

The On3 kit is currently on my wishlist. Looks really nice from what I've seen. I want to get it by time I'm ready to install Zack's cooling mod. Do everything together.

I'm almost positive that I was one of the the first ones, if not, the first one to install this on a Marauder.

Maybe on a Marauder but not on a Panther. Pretty sure I hold that distinction and IIRC, I both bought one of these the day they came out. Zack bought his same day or day after. In fact we bought ours before On3 even made these, they were made by modularspeed (Kelly) on modularfords.com

Another massacre first lmfao

I do have a bunch of crossovers, some customized. I will likely smash them to bits or just melt them down with a torch. I might save 5 of them to give to the 5 ppl in this community that I actually like. The others will be destroyed.

Think that was back around April 2012. I also picked up one of ModularSpeed's kits at that time. Believe he only made 10 of them or so, at least at that time (he could have made more subsequent to that). Never got around to installing it and it got sold with my complete eaton swap kit when I had to liquidate some assets...
