Anyone have any pics of their home made dead pedals? I just bought the Dyno pro kit and am lookun for ideas! Thanks so much guys!

The polished Dead Pedal that you bought from CJ is made to fit on the Kenny Brown Dead Pedal.
 
I made one for the CVPI. It is not pretty though, I hacked up the kick panel to do it. But is works great.
 
Hey people,
Save the grief and just buy the Kenny Brown Dead Pedal. Unless you are Taller than 6'3", IMHO you do not need to customize the dead pedal.
BTW, I have 2 NNs and I have a DP with the polished plate on both of them. They rock! :cool:

Is the KB Dead Pedal sturdy? I want something rock hard when I take on the corners...if not I'll have to make it rock hard

Yes it is very sturdy. I weigh 200lbs and put my weight on it when making hard corners, no problem so far. I have had it for a year and a helf now. And it feels good when your driving normal, somewhere to put your left foot.
 
I have driven cars for years and when I was younger I learned to drive like a bootlegger, throwing the car around impossible curves at speed and switching ends (180's) quickly in a small space. I no longer drive that way, but I am wondering what all this fuss about dead pedals is about.

Why would I even want one?

I can get in a full size sedan and throw it around like a BMW 2002Tii if I have to, so why do I need one if these dead pedals?

I have learned many of the things taught to LEO's on my own about how to mak a car go where you want it to at at speed. Does a dead pedal help with any of these manuvers or is it just another toy?

I took my 2004 CV rental out for a romp early this morning when traffic was light...turned off the TC...and threw her around several corners at speed...did a couple of J-turns...and switched ends too...fun!

Can't treat my MM that way...Still paying for it!

Ditto that! I'm 290 and mine takes everything I can give it!

Thats a good idea. I use a piece of foam rubber for long trips. Around town the carpet on the door sill works for me.
