Does Liquid (member on MCM) post on here?

Zack

Turbo Marauder
He just did a Mach1/Cobra brake conversion as seen here:
http://www.motorcitymarauders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11077

Hats off to him but I want to question the way he did his install and Id like to ask him about it before other members follow suit to his method.

I am in NO WAY FLAMING his work, I want to make sure its A-Ok before others do it his way.

See post 4 for concern.

This is what I want to ask him:

You see how my caliper is located as compared to the rotor:

And His:

I looked this over for a while and noticed the rotor he uses may be throwing my perception off. Im just curious if his pad makes full contact with the rotor or hangs off a little at the top.

If he has full pad contact, hats off to you Brutha for simplifying this mod!

I hope he chimes in and posts his pics here.
Ive been driving my MM around the past few days with the Mach brakes and LOVE them.

The way my calipers are mounted the pad is at the very edge of the rotor. It just looks like his may hang off a bit by the pics, but I hope I am wrong.
Great work Liquid!

You're right, looks like he's not gonna get full contact to the rotor.

Thats why I hope he chimes in, and thats why I THOUGHT I needed to mod the bracket like I did.

I really hope I was wrong, cause this is the cats meow if he has full contact.

Zack you had a great idea:bows: and Liquid thanks for the great spin off of Zack's Idea:bows:. Adding this Mod list, what you guys got going for the rears?

I was thinking if there was enough material you could drill a larger hole and make bushings with an offset hole and either press in or weld in.

Im gonna attemp to install Mach fronts on the rear of the MM, gotta lose the E-Brake to do it though.
