Dyno Max!

Bradley G

broke but not dead!
Had a Corvette on the dyno a couple weeks ago.
Look for it in up comming issue of Road & Track.
Brent Jarvis owner of Performance Restorations in Mundeline Il.
You can't miss this car, being orange metallic.
Early seventies, sorry for the vagueness, I was a bit nervous.
The customer was interested in "top speed" in fourth gear.
This was the first time, I have seen a Car, Max out the Dynojet!
At 195 mph the Dyno has a top speed limit of it's own.
Anyway, The marathon tuning session resulted in almost a hundred horsepower gain!
Just shy of six hundred horses on Motor only!
Good Luck buddy!

Impressive, I hope the owner didn't walk away thinking his Vette will do 195 on the road, though. I don't even think I've seen that place and it's in my neck o' the woods.

Track only Trailer queen.t-mec gearbox?

Can't remember if it was 5 speed or 6?

Man! I gotta get out there next time I'm in Chi-town! Looks like it'll be around March/April next year. I'll keep you posted!

He said the same thing, "I thought the Dyno had a top sped limit of 200MPH!"
I replied "almost!":D He is Recovering from his Football injury!

Talked to Brent Jarvis owner of performance restorations this AM, Road and track had to cancel the Nevada event (picture shoot and story)

They have rescheduled tomorrow at Gingerman in Michigan.
He told me he drove it at Road America, that same week he was planning for Nevada.
"down the long straight @6000 rpm, I looked at almost 190 mph and it was still pulling!"
"Some suspension weaks by the fellow who designed it, are expected as well"
"I have had some fun with telling friends about maxing out your Dynojet".
BTW it is a Six speed Gearbox.
