Forgot how quick the MM is from a roll

Mr. Man

GAME OVER, YOU LOSE!
As I was leaving the local cruise night I rounded a corner leading out of the parking lot. Light at the exit was green and the first car was just leaving my view as he/she made the left. :hmmm: How long will that light stay green? If I miss it it's a long light. Moving along at 10mph or so, nailed it, Zoooooom down to the light, hard on the brake and into the intersection, note the light is yellow now as I passed below it, drive away at my usual putt-putt speed. Thought to myself 'from a roll this car is pretty quick'.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :burnout:

That sounds kind of reckless Eric. Everyone else on here including myself never see anything past quarter throttle..

I was hopped up on Coke Zero so it's OK.

I told Ms. D what you said , she looked puzzled, said the gas pedal has two positions all the way up and on the floor.:)

That light has the shortest green and longest red in the history of traffic lights. I've done the same maneuver myself countless times.
Missed the show this week. Worked late again.

I love that feeling

I love that feeling when the Marauder pleasantly surprises you like that. I was recently at least a mile lower than my normal altitude and dipped into about half throttle on the highway. The car dropped into third and broke the tires loose. (Silly all season tires...) What a pleasant surprise though! I love this car.:burnout:

Driving home today I make the sharp left curve (rural) in to my personal 1/2 mile race track straightaway at 30mph and tromp it. Drops to 1st, spins up rear tires and smokin' the heck out of them controlling the drift. Finally catch traction at 65. Shut it down grinning ear to ear. MAN! That Trilogy LOVES the cold air! :burnout:

Timed a freeway overpass uphill light just right, rolled up at about 15 mph, next to a newish (4 years old) FSport Lexus Sedan. Car was "over advertised" with all sorts of add on schtuff... Could have been an imposter as kId was driving, and he had jerkishly been swerving in and out of traffic previously.

As I rolled up, he was pre-revving his engine at a red light (really?), so I thought WTHeck... TC off, checked both ways at approach... No cross traffic at all... Safe, and clear. Our light turns green, right foot planted, MM barks louder than ever (was about 55 degrees), and theMM simply slips the noose and absolutely dusts the FSport.

Kid was either manually shifting, or _______ cause it sounded like he either shifted into neutral by mistake at red line and hit the rev limiter, or both, because a half mile or so later when I was lazily cruzing at the 45 mph speed limit, he gunned it by me, swerving through traffic again, and it sounded like he had blown his engine and was running on 3 cylinders.

Please know I didn't/don't feel good about that, and am not hoping that is what happened, but he knew he'd been smoked by a huge sedan.

The MM sure jumped off the porch in a hurry, and never looked back. It surprised us both!

Rolling start (and light timing) for the win!

Nice Kill!

Don't feel too bad about a blown motor Lexus.....One less on the road is how I view it! :2thumbs:

Reckless. I always shift before 2,000 RPMs and rarely if ever achieve the speed limit. [emoji1303]
