I-85 North towards Greenville
Take Exit#149
Make a left back across the Interstate
Make a left at the 2nd light (like you're going to the Outlet Malls)
Make your 1st right and follow that road down about 1/2 Mile
Atlanta Dragway is on your left

Oh...if you're coming early for the breakfast...Cracker Barrel is on your right just after you make the left and go back over the Interstate.

How about from I 75 south?

8am I believe.

8-12 test n tune...

12 noon...have to have a dial in time....eliminations start.

I cant make. :(

I broke an axle shaft in my MM about two Fridays ago at Norwalk and decided not to fix it till it had a 31spline axle upgrade in it.

Unfortunately I didn’t get this all figured out till this week Thursday, and its still not totally together yet. I never was able to come up with the rumored Limo axle that is supposed to be a direct fit with a 31 spline posi.

I ended up ordering a Varity of different part numbers from the Ford dealer and finally came up with an axle that was the exact same length as a stock MM axle shaft and it had 31 spline ends as well. But the out bearing surface (at the outside of the axle near the flange) was also to large and it also had a different ABS ring on it to.
We were able to turn down the bearing end and rechecked the hardness and felt that it was still fine. The ABS ring swapped right over from the stock MM axle.
If any one knows of a direct bolt in 31 spline axle for the MM let us know. Moser is supposed to have one soon but I didn’t want to wait a couple more weeks or longer.

I will have it running by this week end but just cant arrange to go now also because of a family obligation that has come up too. :mad2:

Sorry I cant support the MM community on this one. :bigcry:

Thanks

Patrick...the only real way for you to come (besides LOTS of backroads) is to take I-75 South 2 exits past the Cracker Barrel to I-285 which is the Perimeter (loop around the city) and take that East towards Greenville and pick up I-85 North then follow the directions I posted above.

Think of it as looking at the face of a clock....you're going to be coming in at around 11:00 on the it...then going across to 1:00...then heading back out Northeast.

Mapquest from Cleveland, TN to Commerce, GA

Not really.
Wow!- I believe that's got my nomination for post of the year!!

HOWEVER- I am concerned that you, Todd and the ATL bunch might be focusing too hard on being Social Directors instead of Drag Racers. We want to see Hellboy run and win. It's a victory for everyone. If you have to forego a few waffles or B/Sing to get some eleven hour tuning done- That's the price of admission. Sounds like a bargain to me.

We'll miss you, Sir but I doubt seriously if there's a member on this board that could question your community support or commitment. It isn't a "Last Chance" situation...Sometimes stuff happens.

Lidio...we were looking forward to you coming down and putting the "smack-down" on some Impalas. I'm sorry to hear this.

ALSO...I wish I would have known you were having this axle issue...I could have hooked you up with my contact at Moser who built the custom axle for Marty's car (31 spline/direct fit)....

So if we fly into ATL tomorrow evening, Is it cool if we come hang out at Team Ford- we'll stay out of the way.
You'll probably see lots of us coming thru there for last minute work.

I hate to break it to you my friend, but as you know, I beat that rap and the restraining order was disssolved. So I am back out on the streets.....

Keep in mind that two exits will take you to the drag strip. The previous exit to the one Todd mentioned will also have direction signs to the track, but it takes you along back roads and has no Cracker Barrel, service stations, etc. It is also a little slower even though it is more direct (less backtracking) than the exit with the outlet stores.

I believe the track is actually on the right coming from this direction, but by the time you make it this far you can't miss it.
