Shelby GT X2--Back In Black
Wanna buy another MM?

How many of you may be interested in a custom made die cast of our MMs. I've suggest this to the folks at The Danbury Mint, and they promise to look into the possibilities here. Their die casts are typically much higher quality than you would expect, but they cost a bit more than usual too. Just wondering...

If they build it, would you but it?

I would. I have a 1968 Chevelle SS car from Danbury. It's the same color as mine, but not a convt. (I guess I can cut the top off of it!) They are really nice, and very detailed, but they are pricey (around $120).

Yes, as long as I can get it in a color besides black...;) Danbury does good work..if you get a list or group purchase going you can count me in for two of them...got to get one for both offices right?

Thanks all, please keep the feed back and replys coming. I've invited Danbury to visit this thread, let's give them something to read. The more interest we show here, the better our chances that Danbury will pay attention.

As it was stated here, the price may exceed 100 bucks per, however, I have an extensive Danbury/Franklin collection of my own, and I have never been disappointed in by quality and authenticity. If they build it, it will be a fine model.

Unfortunately, they are very exact too, that's their promise, so, you won't lift the 1/24 scale hood and find a supercharger, but they may make up for that with a Danbury "title/certificate of origin", and this version of the MM may come with a genuine build number!

Wouldn't it be a real hoot, if Danbury's sales numbers exceeds LMs?

oh...maybe not...

o.k. I'm in. I'll put it up on top of my book shelft next to my '66 Shelby GT-350 and the '64 Shelby Cobra 427S/C. More drooling on the floor in front of them won't change the stains on the carpet that much. Just don't tell my wife when I buy it.

I'm in too! I've got about 50 assorted 1/24 diecast cars from Danbury & Franklin Mints. Mostly classic 50's and 60s muscle cars.....

I would probably buy 2, one for the house and one to put on display at shows:)
