I married my wife 29 years ago when I was 21, she was my best friend 1st and still is.

This is a true statement. But first, Congrats Dom and I hope nothing changes after your big day. It probably will happen some time after you combine finances, you have a kid or three and a couple years go buy. I happens slowly, like a disease.

You really don't need a piece of paper from the stat to validate your relationship....

I concur.^

Hopefully you two stay as strong as Mel and I, 23 years now. Most of my friends, scratch that, all of my friends are fighting like no tomorrow or bailed years ago. Just focus on the good things.
